DescriptionQualys Cloud Agent enables instant Global visibility of IT assets even occasionally connected mobile and virtual devices, with up-to-date asset configuration data for security and compliance. A low foot-print agent installed on endpoints, Cloud Agent brings high performance functionality of all Qualys Cloud Platform services to all IT assets in the global enterprise.Cloud agent is one of the pivotal components in Qualys cloud security infrastructure. It is light-weight, multi-platform, easy to configure and self-managed. It helps Organization inventory and scan millions of IT assets from security standpoint. Cloud Agent is a foundation upon which Qualys plans to build next-generation security services in future. Be one of the first members of the team, which does innovative and exciting work to carry forward Qualys vision.Responsibilities:

• Being part of the Cloud Agent Linux team, the qualified candidate should have a solid knowledge of Linux Operating System including Network configuration and setup, file system setup and configuration, performance testing at both the OS and Application layers.
• The responsibilities include building and running test cases for a system level security application running in CentOS, RHEL and other flavors of Linux in addition to OSX, AIX, BSD, and Solaris.
• Testing will address all areas of the appliance functionality including feature, performance and capacity evaluations in all environments and networking configurations.
• The candidate must have the ability to reproduce and isolate faults, and perform root cause investigation for bug analysis in complex configurations. The candidate would be responsible for automating the test cases during the release cycle
• Additionally, the person will be required to write detailed test plans, develop comprehensive test cases and be able to set and meet delivery schedules and deadlines. The person should be self-driven and a quick learner and should be willing to self-explore.
• The candidate would be needed to maintain test execution results in test management tool and contributes to rich testing materials. Coordinates with Development and Infra teams/peers on the resolution of issues, overseeing the testing progress and ensuring that high standards of quality are being met. The candidate would needing to passionately refine/improve on the testing methodologies

Qualifications:

• Must have QA exp. from 5 to 10 yrs. on Enterprise product.
• Must have a solid working knowledge of the Linux Operating System.
• System administration/IT skills for Linux (CentOS).
• Must have experience with the software development life cycle.
• Scripting/automation knowledge using Python/Unix shell scripts with recent scripting experience. Must have proficiency in Python and shell scripting
• Experience with virtualization (Amazon EC2, Windows Azure) and lightweight virtualization solutions (Linux Container, QEMU) is required.
• Must have experience with OS level Network configuration and trouble-shooting. Should have worked on HTTP/HTTPS proxies, authentication schemes, PKI, SSL/TLS
• Experience with HTTP/HTTPS protocols, JSON, XML and relational databases like sqlite.
• Must be a critical thinker with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Proficient in Regular Expressions and Programming methods.

Additional Plus Competencies:

• TCP/IP and network knowledge and troubleshooting and knowledge of packet sniffers
• Experience testing APIs
• Experience with Puppet modules or Ansible is a strong plus.
• Automation framework development is a added plus
