Job Description

Execute system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities for Linux and Middleware systems. - Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure Linux and Middleware systems are properly integrated with other systems and services. - Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution for Linux and Middleware systems, including server hardware, operating systems, and applications. - Develop and implement security policies and procedures for Linux and Middleware systems to ensure they are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations. - Develop and maintain rollback plans, disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Linux and Middleware systems. - Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Linux and Middleware systems, and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve the overall environment. - Provide guidance and training to other IT staff on Linux and Middleware systems and best practices. Requirements : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field. - 7+ years of experience in Linux and Middleware systems administration and engineering. - In-depth knowledge of Linux and Middleware architectures, technologies, and best practices. - Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux and Middleware systems, including Red Hat Linux, Apache, Tomcat, and other open-source technologies. - Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash. - Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Relevant industry certifications such as RHCE, CCNA, GIAC, etc. are desirable.
