Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description

The financial analyst will work collaboratively with finance, accounting, business operations and senior management with sites and throughout the Industrial Sector Vehicle Sites as required. The Analyst will oversee and execute processes necessary to plan, record, analyze and report on the financial conditions of the Division. This person will also be significantly involved in the development of senior management presentations including finance, operations, marketing and others as necessaryProfessional will also support plant & division in routine financial analysis & reporting as required. Assignments will include planned and ad hoc projectsThis position would be an Individual Contributor.List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results), which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.Financial Analysis & Reporting for the Industrial Sector (including):Preparation of monthly results and forecast commentary package for the consolidated Division/PlantSupport in monthly forecast processSupport in preparation of annual profit plan and strategic plan initiativesAnalyze Operational metrics for monthly results and forecastProvide Flex, CONC report with detailed analysisResponsible for publishing sales and profit number for Site/DivisionPrepare meaningful variance analysis and communicate resultsPreparation of on-going monthly and periodic financial reportsPrice realization analysis and measurementProduct mix, Customer, Market analysisSupport and propose various initiatives to reduce complexity, standardize and improve efficiency of financial processes.Promotion of good financial stewardship by helping control costs, driving forecast accuracy, driving balance sheet integrity and ensuring proper controls are in placeCoordinate, interpret and respond to ad hoc financial requests within the regionPerform additional analyses as assigned.Work in a global team environment directly supporting the Industrial Sector Sites and interacting with various controllers in the business locations.Quality culture Accuracy, attention to detail, and achieving deadlines are critical for success.Adherence to Timelines as per the statutory calendar with proactive planning and execution for the ledgersUtilizing ERPs to utmost for reporting.Continuous improvements and streamlining of accounting and reporting processes with an aim to reduce time and effort.Analytical bend of mindShift working 12.30 to 21.30 however needs to stretch beyond the shift based on the requirementsQualificationsAccounting major (B.Com) & CA/ICWA/CFA/MBA (Finance), preferable.Excellent Analytical skills to interpret Financial data , Written and oral communication skills.Manufacturing industry experience (pre-requisite).Proficiency with MS-Office particularly Excel, Power Point, Word and other reporting toolsWorking Knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools SAP, Oracle, OBIEE, Longview Solution, etcExperience with Oracle Financials and SAP preferred10+ years of FP&A and accounting experience.Adaptable to varying cultures.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Describe all other aspects of your position that you feel are important and which have not been adequately covered (i.e. unique problems encountered, special freedom to take action, critical outside contacts, exceptional working conditions etc.)Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to summarize findings and present solutions.Good interpersonal skills ability to work with all levels of the organization.Act as a business partner to Electrical Plants, divisions, and headquartersDealing with ambiguity about changes in regulations/external requirementsSystematic process orientation, strong analytical and problem-solving skillsCommitment to complianceBe a self-starter & be able to operate without close supervisionDrive for result, enthusiasm, transparent, Customer focusInfluencing skills with relationship building with the customers and stakeholders,
