Group Company: Quick Heal Technologies LtdDesignation: Senior Technical Writer (QH_DES_554), Senior Technical Writer (QH_DES_424)Office Location:Years of experience: toSalary Range: INR to (Annual)Position description:As a Senior Technical Writer, you will produce technical documentation of high quality for our consumer and enterprise range of products. You will take up ownership of the documentation deliverables for the assigned products and produce technically accurate documentation that will help the customer with their difficulties/queries related to the product and ensure satisfaction. You will be responsible for all the online and offline documentation for the product such as online help, release notes, administrators guide and other related documents. You are expected to have an in-depth understanding of products in Information Security domain. You are expected to carry out a hands-on for all the tasks related to the product, routine as well as the installation and administration of the product in the related environment which would reflect in the deliverables.Primary Responsibilities:
• Develops a strong functional understanding of the assigned product.
• Collaborates extensively with product QA, DEV & product management team to understand documentation requirements.
• Analyzes complex technical concepts related to the product.
• Communicates with all stakeholders to understand the work process and flows in the product.
• Works with UX teams to develop strings and flows for all UI interfaces of the product.
• Carry out all tasks (first-hand) related to installation, configuration and management of the product.
• Based on the hands-on experience, write content that is easy-to-understand and implement.
• Communicates to QA & Dev teams of any bugs, defects found, or UI strings during course of work and escalate the same in timely manner.
• Deliver well-structured quality technical documentation.

Key Performance Indicators:1 ~ 4-6 Years of relevant experience in documenting enterprise products in the Information Security domain or allied verticals 2 Ability to grasp the functionality of the product exhaustively 3 Experience in planning and creating standard documentation such as User Guides, Administrator Guides, and Release Notes, web-based and context-sensitive online help 4 Experience of working with multiple teams such as Development and QA in an Agile environment.Required Competencies:Core Competencies Language: Excellent command over English language, & good communication skills Tools: Expertise in using RoboHelp, MS-Word, Snagit, and other authoring tools Style: Knowledge and application of Microsoft Manual of Style Operating Systems: Windows/Linux/Mac/Mobile/OS Other: Working knowledge of products related to Information Technology and allied services Functional Competencies Proficiency 1 Capacity to analyze the technical aspects of features/ enhancements of the product and gauge the impact of features on user documentation Intermediate 2 User of authoring tools, troubleshooting issues related to deliverables Intermediate 3 Creation/structuring /format of various deliverables Intermediate 4 Tasks execution and corresponding documentation Intermediate 5 Editing, Proofreading, & peer review skills Intermediate 6 Troubleshooting skills Basic 8 Strong understanding of SDLC standard methodologies BasicRequired Knowledge:Required Skills:Required abilities
