Job Description

    Roles and ResponsibilitiesBuilt up logistics infrastructure comprises of inwards and outwards shipment throughrail & road mode on PAN India basis
    • Resource planning and mobilization i.e. Freight Management
    • Develop roadmap to support distribution to Companys stores for existing and new cityentries including setup of direct store purchase of certain category.
    • Understand and ensure implementation of railway policies to the fullest advantage foroptimizing logistic cost
    • Well versed in railway liaison for rake availability in time, indent of wagons, forwarding note,demurrage rules, freight incentive schemes
    • Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate.
    • Plan future capacity requirements.
    • Review regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
    • Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods.
    • Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetarytargets and environmental objectives are met.
    • Maintain the operations of warehouse management systems and automated storage andretrieval system.
    • Ensuring a well-coordinated reception of all materials, items, and products, and making surethey are sorted, labelled, and stored per company standards and policies
    • Ensuring delivery deadlines and quality objectives are met
    • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling them with the datastorage system.
    • Ensuring services should comply with contract norms and statutory requirement
    • Coaching and guiding logistic partner to improve quality of operations and implement bestpractices of distribution and warehousing
    • Drive special SCM initiatives within the region and be the interface between stores andlogistics partner, direct delivery vendors.
    • Responsible for commercial negotiations with 3PL Partner and finalize the mark up.
    • Responsible to ensure zero deviation in cold chain compliance by doing periodic audits.
    • Support internal audit for well controlled rating.
    Desired Candidate ProfileGraduate preferably PG in Material Management.
