Job Description

    Company: N Z Seasonal Wear Pvt Ltd.Location: BhiwandiJD-Design Head
    • Directing a team and working as per brand requirements; creating collection for category research themes
    • Rendering present trend packs, mood boards and forecasting for various seasons; designing products for all phases and seasons and discussing ranges with the team and acquiring management approval
    • Preparing new designs depending on requirement & occasions, maintaining documentation Detailed, instructions, drawings, specifications for generating awareness about fabrication & usage
    • Giving information to groups or individuals for ensuring the basic understanding of the information and the message
    • Reviewing the samples and quality to approve/disapprove during production phase; working knowledge of various kinds of fabrics and suitability to different styles and silhouettes
    • Tapping markets & new business opportunities; setting target, negotiating on prices& determining sourcing and ensuring availability in stores
    • Formulating strategies on brand mix & pricing as well as planning a range of merchandise for stores, based on trend & competitor analysis; providing brief to designers for range development
    • Supervising merchandise allocation to stores including vendor mix for ensuring complete product range development
    • Developing and selecting vendors as per the brand strategy and finalizing contracts
    • Assessing competitor presence in the category and going through analysis to understand the customer buying behavior
    • Approving designs for development and reviewing samples for private label products & finalize orders; negotiating on prices with vendors, to meet required margins
    • Solving roadblocks in product delivery with vendor and driving best practices and suggesting improvements with reference to market trends and competition data
    • Completing activities within set time and budget; planning seasonal pricing and promotional activity with merchandise and in line with the overall strategy
    • Designing special purchase &promotional offers to drive volume and supporting the promotional calendar in coordination with the Marketing Team
    • Coordinating with stores on category display; identifying customer preferences and taking feedback on product customer concerns/gaps as well as implementing promotions with store teams / visits
    • Identify, develop, and implement product management and design strategies for the profitable growth
    • Effectively manage the product creation process from brief to commercialization, production, online channels (e- com) and product presentations.
    • Worked on, Designing mock-up for the app, Co-ordinating with tech team for responsive mobile app, lay-outing and Content
    • Category Planning, Product Development, range planning for the season.
    • Leading the design and product development team in developing season Collection.
    • Category and Accessory assortment and handling team of designers
    • Develop products from research to production to distribution to presentation and finally to the buyer for acceptance.
    • Co-ordination with merchandising team on new research and development.
    • Brand positioning in various regions and cities with stock planning. Sample development/Product Development. Sampling and Production Time lines.
    • Research and Development and forecasting of new trends, styles, Creatives for social media
    • Leading the conceptual development of all product lines, providing direction for Colour, fabric and trim stories.
    • Maintaining responsibility for the entire product design process including market
    • Research, mood board creation, and design processes, sketching, specs and fit.
    • Determine effective and efficient methods of mass producing garments.
    • Maintain knowledge of the global fashion markets and international trade.
    • Conduct ongoing market research and identify product extensions and new development.
    • Provide information reports and strategic planning to Senior Management presentations to e-com buyers.
    • Plan, style and coordinate seasonal ranges. Price point strategies and buyer requirements
    • Co-ordinate the sourcing of materials, costing, technical and commercial execution of the product.
    • Prototypes for fittings and adjustments continuously.
    • Present concepts to director
