Job Description

Strong background on protein chemistry and structural biology. Collect, manage, and study biological (especially DNA) andbiochemical data at the molecular level by using computational biology.Metagenome libraries: Identifying the novel sequences based on the function and homologous sequences based on querysequence from the metagenome library.In silico analysis: Analysis of protein sequences to predict structure/function. Protein docking, homology modelling, developmolecular dynamics simulation.Documentation: Organize and maintain laboratory documentation pertaining to bioinformatics.Maintenance of softwares and IT: Maintaining the softwares and support in setting up the IT infrastructure.Skill set RequiredMetagenome analysis and Next Generation SequencingProtein chemistry, structural biology, molecular dynamics simulation, homology modellingExperienceKnowhow on metagenome analysis and Next Generation SequencingEducation QualificationAcademic: M.Sc with 1-3 years experienceProfessional: Bioinformatics (Computational biologist)Specialization: Bioinformatics
