Work with Educational InitiativesFounded in 2001, Educational Initiatives Private Limited (EI), is South Asias leading assessment research and educational technology organization, motivated by the vision of creating a world where children everywhere are learning with understanding. Our goal is to reach a multitude of children across different strata of society, irrespective of the kind of education they are receiving today or the curriculum they are following. With our focus in educational research, assessments, pedagogy-based personalized adaptive learning (PAL), and a Science of Learning (SoL) repository of data and techniques to help children learn better, we continue to strive to leverage the twin levers of cutting-edge educational research and a technology-based solutions approach to revolutionize how children in the K-12 education space learn.Over the past two decades, EI has undertaken over 80 projects with 50 government and civil society partners (16 languages, 40. detailed studies published) across geographies, socio-linguistic backgrounds in India and abroad, for more than 10 million students across different grades. EI has offices in Bangalore and Ahmedabad in India, with 350 staff members specializing on different aspects of assessments, technology, training and project management. The top executives at EI serve/have served as advisors on boards of several educational committees for State and Central Government of India.We have worked on several large-scale systems change projects in India with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB), SCERT Haryana, Bihar Education Project Council, SSA Tamil Nadu, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh government agencies and the countries of Maldives and Bhutan. Our work has been funded by UNICEF, World Bank, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Department for International Development (DfID) - UK, The Partnership to Strengthen Innovation and Practice in Secondary Education (PSIPSE), MacArthur Foundation, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF), Hewlett Foundation, McKinsey, Harvard University and University of Newcastle.The PeopleThe key driver of EIs success is the quality of our staff. Our team includes over 300 professionals combining a unique depth of pedagogical and assessment expertise with experience working with schools, government systems and top-tier organizations in education, and leading academic institutions. The team includes HBS, IIM and IIT alumni, university rank-holders at Ph.D. and Masters level in Science, Social Sciences and Humanities, along with teachers with several years of school experience, curriculum and textbook developers and teacher trainers. The organization has specialized internal teams working on test development, data science, educational research, psychometrics, personalized learning, and IT development.Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Operations and Strategya. Lead Project Management within Assessments with complete ownership of a projectb. Carry out test design and development end-to-end ensuring quality and timelinesc. Lead meetings, communications and relationship management with clientsd. Manage Eis internal information and knowledge repositoriese. Ensure error-free deliverables like assessment tools, analyses aligned to project requirements2. Large Scale Assessments, Capacity Building and Technical Transformationa. Manage activities related to capacity building of education officials and practitionersb. Create workshop training material and collateral including videos, manuals and other contentc. Create and execute large scale benchmarking and diagnostics assessments3. Organizational Developmenta. Ensure capacity building and training of the team through regular learning and developmentb. Expand the scope of projects by high quality dissemination- States Interaction, working papers etc.c. Travel for the project needs and documenting trip reports of the same appropriatelyEducational QualificationsGraduates/ Post Graduates in Management, Operations, Education, Humanities or Sciences or preferredExperience Required3-5 years of experience, some of it working with the government preferably in delivering large-scale education programsFluent in written and verbal communications especially presentations, high quality report writing etc.Experience in handling data and analysisKey Skills1. Interest in and understanding of Indias education landscape2. The ability to own, manage and develop an entire project management team end to end3. Excellent oral and written communications and stakeholder management skills4. The ability to learn fast, and grasp Educational Initiatives model and business5.
