Job Description

Position Summary

Prime seeks a skilled, energetic, team- oriented Paralegal who is self- motivated, capable of working independently and can demonstrate a proven ability to manage a high volume of retail transactional real estate documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, review and finalize tenant s transactional retail real estate documents, including letters of intent, amendments, renewals, leases, assignments, related documents and other general corporate documents.
  • Ensure the proper execution of real estate legal documents.
  • Regularly communicate with various landlords, attorneys, and other departments to provide status updates and request additional information.
  • Facilitate the processing of documents to obtain various signatures.
  • Perform title reviews and drafting of legal documents.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High level of focus and attention to detail.
  • Must be well- organized, efficient, and able to prioritize, multi- task and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well with all levels of Company employees and landlords on simple and complex real estate matters.
  • Self- directed and motivated, with excellent teamwork skills.
  • Ability to uphold standards of complete discretion and confidentiality and exercise good judgment on day- to- day decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and leasing software.

Education

Requires a Bachelor s Degree, Paralegal or Legal Assistant Certificate.

Experience

Requires at least five years of retail real estate Paralegal experience with a landlord, tenant (in- house) or law firm with retail landlord/tenant client(s).

Preferences

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working with landlords, attorneys and leasing personnel on transactional real estate matters.
  • Excellent real estate document drafting, analytical organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and process high volumes of lease / real estate documents.
