Job Description

    Primary Purpose:The Zonal Head of Sales & Marketing is responsible for driving sales targets, implementing marketing strategies, and overseeing the overall business performance in their designated region. This role involves working closely with distributors, retailers, and the sales team to achieve revenue and market share growth.Key Accountabilities/Activities:Reporting and Target Achievement:
    • Directly report to the GM Sales and provide regular updates on sales performance and market trends.
    • Work closely with distributors and the retail team to achieve sales targets for the region.
    New Product Development and GTM Strategies:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new product launches.
    • Contribute to the development of new products by providing market insights and customer feedback.
    Retail Planning and Competitor Tracking:
    • Track competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities for improving market share and retail presence.
    • Develop retail plans to enhance counter share and market depth in coordination with the retail team.
    Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Coordinate with key stakeholders throughout the sales cycle, including distributors, retailers, and relevant government departments.
    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal teams such as production, logistics, and marketing.
    Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain excellent client relationships to position company products effectively in the market.
    • Work closely with the sales team to address client needs, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
    Network Expansion and Market Penetration:
    • Appoint and manage a network of retailers, dealers, distributors, and sales stockists to expand market penetration and increase business opportunities.
    • Implement strategies to enhance market coverage and ensure the availability of products in the region.
    Revenue Growth and Market Share:
    • Drive substantial revenue increase from key accounts within the region.
    • Work towards increasing the companys product market share through effective sales and marketing strategies.
    Supervision and Leadership:
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, ensuring they are aligned with business targets and motivated to achieve sales objectives.
    • Support the GM Sales in implementing business plans and driving sales profitability.
    Administrative Responsibilities:
    • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to sales activities, inventory, and service.
    • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department (Sales & Marketing).
    Positive Image and Teamwork:
    • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and a favorable image of the company.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and serve as a leader to the team of associates.
    Work Relations:Internal:
    • Reporting to CEO for all Functional as well as administrative purposes.
    • Interface with Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Procurement, and Engineering teams
    • Interface with HR Teams
    • Interface with Accounts, Finance, and Facility management teams.
    External:
    • Interface with Distributors and Dealers, Retailers, and Wholesalers
    • Interface with Consumers, Institutional Buyers
    • Interface with Foodservice and Hospitality Industry Network

    Qualification:Essential: MBA (Marketing/ M.com/ B.com)Experience:Essential: 10 years of experience in Managing Dairy sales
    • Proven experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, preferably in the dairy or food industry.
    • Strong understanding of the sales process, market dynamics, and distribution channels.
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
    • Proficiency in developing and executing marketing strategies and go-to-market plans.
    • Experience in new product development and launching strategies.
    • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
    • In-depth knowledge of the regional market, competitors, and customer preferences.
    • Familiarity with distribution channels, retail operations, and supply chain management.
    • Analytical and Problem-solving Skills
    Work Environment: 24 X 6 (6 days a week)Shift Details: General Shift. (09:00 AM 5:00 PM), Shift might rotate
