Job Description

Android Developer in Ahmedabad, India

Build applications for mobile and handheld devices running on android operating system and is responsible for designing and coding the base application, ensuring the quality of the application, fixing application bugs, maintaining the code, and implementing application updates.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
  • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin
  • Proficiency in MVVM and databinding
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Understanding of Google s Android design principles and interface guidelines
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
  • Ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision
  • Experience with React.js, React Native and Node.js
  • Experience in building a mobile application using React Native. will be added advantage
