Job Description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Telford facility within Systems for an Installation & Commissioning Engineer.The Build, Test, Install and Commissioning Engineers role is an exciting and varied position amongst a fast moving and dynamic team. This is a hands-on factory and field based position with the opportunity to experience the SystemProject life-cycle from Build to Operation.Main Tasks will include:The main responsibilities of the Build, Installation and Commissioning Engineer role will be:. The build, testing and inspection of new pumps and vacuum pump systems. Providing a high level of cooperation and support to internal customers i.e. sales and project engineers, and ensuring that all production activities are carried out to the very best standards, in the shortest possible time and with a keen interest in cost control.. To visit customer sites in order to install, setup, modify and retrofit Vacuum Pumps and Systems. To plant all associated in a secure and safe working order to the satisfaction of the customer.. To commission systems and bring new and existing Vacuum systems into process on a wide variety of systems ranging from simple single pump, to multi pump and line systems with integrated controls.. In addition this role will be required from time to time to provide scheduled and emergency maintenance cover and fault finding on vacuum pumps and systems.. To survey, cost and quote minor installations and alterations to existing systems.At the Telford Site:. Build (Electrical and Mechanical), testing and Inspection of Vacuum systems and equipment including goods-in and finished systems. Engagement with systems suppliers, design and development teams across a wide variety of projects.At suppliers Sites:. Provide expert Inspection and approval of electrical panels prior to Busch accepting delivery.At Customers Site:. Installation, modification and retro-fitting of vacuum systems across a wide variety of locations and applications.This role requires accurate documentation of each work item delivered from the Companys Project management system and occasional contractor management.Job Requirements:This role is suitable for self-sufficient, capable and highly motivated individuals only. Skills are needed to be able to read drawings, interpret technical information, and liaise with Customers whilst protecting the Companys brand.This role will suit individuals who have a strong foundation in electrical systems and installations, with exposure to PLC systems and programming. The ideal candidate would also be time served mechanical fitting, pipe-works, pressure systems and fabrication.Whilst it is not essential it would be desirable to receive candidates with a BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering or HND in Electrical EngineeringKey Competencies:.
