Job Description

    The Legal Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the legal title verification process. This role involves conducting thorough examinations of legal documents related to property and collateral. The Legal Manager collaborates with internal departments, external legal vendors and other stakeholders to mitigate legal risks and provide accurate assessments of legal title.Perform comprehensive legal title verification and due diligence processes for mortgage loansReview legal documents, such as deeds, contracts, agreements, and certificates, to ensure their authenticity, accuracy, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Investigate and resolve any legal title issues or discrepancies identified during the verification process.Coordinate with external legal vendors, ensure that legal due diligence of the property is done within stipulated TAT.Advise internal stakeholders, including loan officers, underwriters, and senior management, and sales team on legal title-related matters and potential risks.Develop and implement policies and procedures for legal title verification, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry practices related to legal title verification, and incorporate them into the companys processes and policies.Train and educate companys employees on legal title verification procedures, ensuring awareness and adherence to legal requirements.Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to legal title verification activities.
