Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities Job Title Scrum Master, Industry Cloud Reporting to Head, Industry Cloud Job Objective The Scrum Master acts as a bridge between Product Management & Development teams to ensure agile delivery of the backlog. The scrum master serves as a point person responsible for understanding the big development picture of each sprint. They are responsible for delegating tasks appropriately and ensuring the team is working on the right tasks at the right time. They also want to ensure the team is fully deployed and not idle. Roles and Responsibilities Strategic Roles and Responsibilities The Scrum Master acts as champion for Agile Product Development by: Encouraging the organization to adopt the scrum methodology in their own workflow Coaching the organization on the transition to a scrum working framework Keeping the organization, particularly the project s stakeholders, up to date on the progress of the scrum team s projects Operational Responsibilities Helping the team agree on what they can achieve during each development sprint Helping the team continuously make progress on the project by making sure each person is working on the right tasks, helping to remove any obstacles to the team members progress, and protecting the team from distractions Manage each project s scope and timeline Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders) Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur Help teams implement changes effectively Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity Stakeholder Management The Scrum Master supports Product Manager by: o Making sure everyone on the team understands the project s goals and scope o Helping the product owner maintain the product backlog o Facilitating scrum events (daily stand-ups, other meetings) as needed 2 The Scrum Master supports the Development Team by: o Coaching the development team in self-organization o Helping to remove obstacles to the developers progress o Facilitating scrum events (daily stand-ups, other meetings) as needed People Management Develop employee capability and build functional excellence through various learning and development interventions and mentoring initiatives Foster an environment of learning, excellence, and innovation within the team and across teams Coach team members in Agile frameworks Help build a productive environment where team members own the product and enjoy working on it Job Profile Minimum qualifications: At least 10 years experience in a scrum master role Familiarity with agile software development Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement) Preferred qualifications: Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks Excellent communication and leadership skills Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability Outstanding organizational skills Scrum master certification is a plus ,
