Job Description

• Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce EH&S policy, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Valvoline Cummins company.
• Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee / supervisory level to ensure a common and effective approach
• To conduct periodic trainings on various topics of environment, health & safety (EH&S) and drive safety committee meeting.
• Responsible for assisting in the identification of possible losses; evaluating the quantitative risk; developing and implementing a plan to correct or prevent the loss.
• Hands on ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certification and audit the plan to ensure its effectiveness.
• Ensure the contractor safety compliance.
• Maintain and update SOPs for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day to day training.
• Perform and contribute to the site training Plans by conducting employee orientations; emergency response training.
• Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected.
• Coordinate with EH&S manager on facility deficiencies and monthly safety inspections.
• Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements;
• Assist with maintaining the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures.
• Review accidents and incidents which occur in the area and conduct field audits, reporting and managing the corrective actions.
• Maintain fire protection system & its periodic inspection.
• On site supervision and monitoring of all the high risk jobs in project & plant.
• Conducting Various EHS Promotional Activities to Keep Safety Live in Plant.
• Inspecting and certifying the Scaffolding and other mobile elevated working at height equipments.
• Inspecting all the portable power tools of the contractors on regular basis and maintaining the inventory of the same with inspection tags.
• Conducting daily TBT With contractor workers in coordination with VCPL Supervisors .
• Conducting Weekly/Monthly safety meeting with the contractor.
• Inspecting all mobile lifting tools , tackles and machines before use in plant .

Keyskills :
graduate in engineering/science diploma in engineeringadvance diploma in industrial safety approved by msbte
