WHAT YOULL DO DAY-TO-DAY: Lead the team and further its goal of building quality web components for display and dataanalysis using pure python. The team works a lot on the Jupyter platform, providing simplecustomized plotting libraries as well as a powerful table component. Communicate frequently with NY traders/quants to understand their pain points and build toolsthat address them Be on the lookout for solutions that can improve collaboration between traders/quants Champion JupyterLab and drive in-house reporting tool adoption Enhance and support rich table rendering using React underneath. This has many exciting futurepossibilities including real time ticking tables inside the notebook, spark-lines inside grids,powerful table filtering capabilities etc. Simplify sharing of notebooks and tooling around managing notebooks better (git, tidy imports,unit testing etc.)WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: The candidate should have 3+ years of experience in software development The candidate should be experienced in python development and data visualization/webdevelopment The candidate should have strong design skills build APIs that last for a decade and shouldbe forever backward compatible The candidate should possess good written communication frequent interaction with NYstakeholdersThe ideal candidate should have thought clarity filter requirements from various teamsand build a simple API that caters for most use-cases The candidate should have patience and tenacity it takes time (2-3 months) to get a majorfeature out The candidate should also have active interest in technology and is on top of the latestdevelopments in the scientific Python (Jupyter) and JavaScript space Interest in the finance sector domain and active participant in open-source projects aregood to have
