• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback for cloud-ready & microservices based cloud-native architecture for release and PI
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, scenario analysis and test cases for Performance, Robustness & Serviceability areas
• Bring Outside In customer view in test planning and test scenarios
• Ensuring Key Customers critical needs are addressed in Scenario analysis & Regression Plans, through reviews and approval
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities in SAFe and continuous delivery models
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results, quality risks and escalate, as required
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts and implement quality practices
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, processes and procedures to ensure overall testing efficiency and effectiveness
• Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with Development and Test teams to foster a team environment
• Provide regular status reporting consistent with established program governance requirements
• Assist with production triage when issues arise in non-functional areas
Requirements
• 8+ years of proven work experience in software quality assurance in telco grade products
• 5+ years of system test experience with high-traffic, large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures incl products like DRA, HSS, PCRF, etc. in performance and robustness, life cycle management, serviceability areas
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands on experience in VOLTE/IMS, DRA, SCP, BSF, SEPP in 4G/5G core technologies
• Hands on experience on Diameter/HTTP2 signalling domain, JSON, RestAPI, SCTP, TCP with core products e.g. Load Balancers, DRA, SLF, HSS, UDM, AUSF
• Hands on experience in Linux, Kubernetes, VMWare, OpenStack and working with CSF Assets & Blueprints like BVNF/BCMT/BELK
• Demonstrated expertise with scripting, XML, tracing tools (Wireshark, tShark etc) and automation framework like Robot, Cucumber, Diameter Simulators like Seagull, JMeter etc. & HTTP2 simulators like Vegeta etc
• Working experience with cloud-ready, cloud-native, micro services and containers architecture in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Working knowledge on NMS like NetAct, COM, ECOMP
• Working knowledge on the toolsets like Jira, Jenkins or Bamboo
• Bachelor s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a software related discipline. A Master s degree in a related field is an added plus
• Prior experience in interfacing with customers & customer teams in understanding their deployments and use cases in the areas of Performance, Serviceability is an added advantage
