Job Description

At IBM, you will use the latest software development tools, techniques and approaches and work with leading minds in the industry to build solutions you can be proud of.Your Role and Responsibilities As Software Developer, you will demonstrate expertise in planning & executing technical workstack and detailed knowledge on modern technology areas. You will assist in overall E2E technical solution design, development and integration. You will develop of new areas of technical expertise as the business evolves. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and manage storage software & hardware stack along with code repository, Plan and execute improvements.
  • Ensure to install as well as configure NetBackup customer software on UNIX or Linux as well as Windows systems
  • Plan & implement new systems and upgrades to the UNIX/Linux environment
  • Work with team members to design innovative software programs for customers across various products & features
  • You will align with product & project requirement along with optimizing new and existing programs for various modules and device
  • You will keep up to date on the newest technological innovations in the field and be ready to apply relevant innovations to our software systems
  • Experience in configuration management & defect tracking tools
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum 10-12 years of IT experience
  • Minimum of 5-year experience in storage, virtualization & cloud domain.
  • Working knowledge of JEE technologies and specifications such as JPA, Servlets, JSP, JSF etc
  • Valid understanding of JSE / JEE design concepts and database modelling
  • Hands-on experience with Java IDEs like Eclipse or JDeveloper, for SQL development using SQL developer/Toad, source control tools like SVN
  • Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design, XML, WebLogic & WebSphere application server, Oracle SQL, Junit.
  • Sound knowledge of Oracle db2 Database administration and Version Control Systems Clear Case / RTC /GIT/SVN
  • Proficient to take part in software analysis and technical designs. Understand the business requirements and contribute to the design of the application. Develop, test, debug, implement and maintain application software.
  • Hands on experience to debug issues reported on UI and server side and in writing test cases by using Junit/Selenium

  • IT Architect Certification (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel as needed
