Job Description

  • Reviewing technical design/requirement documents to understand the overall test scope requirement
  • Responsible for creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases (Feature, System and Solution test) for enterprise switching platform products.
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing after bugs are resolved
  • Work with internal teams (developers and managers) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, ECE or equivalent.
  • Typically 3-5 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Have Good Networking domain knowledge on Ethernet switching, Layer2, Layer3 Protocols, Data Centre Technologies, Network Operating Systems
  • Should have high skill, experience and expertise on L2 Protocols (e.g. Link Aggregation, MCLAG, MSTP, PVST, VxLAN, VLAN, LLDP etc.) and L3 protocols (OSPF, BGP)
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Good knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
