Manager Lead Blue Ocean Lab

Job Description

Responsibilities & Key DeliverablesAccountabilities: The position would entail following accountabilities

1. Lead the Blue Ocean Lab engagement with external stakeholders like design community, start-ups, policy makers, urban planners, sociologist, anthropologist and mobility experts
2. Plan and execute, transportation / mobility related innovation seminars, group discussions, workshops and innovation hackathons/competitions
3. Scout for local / global innovation possibilities with internal / external stakeholders
4. Operationalize the innovation processes of Innovation centric Advance Planning role in the Product Planning department.
5. Propose and build traction on disruptive (non- incremental) product ideas in mobility and transportation.
6. Undertake Proof of Concept (POC) development of the proposed ideas, internally (or externally through agencies) to get requisite confidence on the future ideas.
7. Demonstrate the POCs at various - Auto Shows, Tech shows etc, if needed.
8. Build and grow the community of Innovators, and the community of Entrepreneurs and Start-ups
9. Assist Advance Planning (Mainstream) in positive critique of the future ideas.

1. Excellent Creative thinking and logical Postulation of one s thought process
2. Ability to moderate brainstorming sessions with multiple stakeholders. Eg, Innovation Workshops, Panel discussions, Seminars etc
3. Excellent Networking Skills to coordinate effectively with Start-ups, Innovation labs and Grassroot Innovators.
4. Excellent Idea presentation skills-making razor sharp presentations, through Power Point, Excel Sheets or MS Word documents with clear business logic to Senior Management
5. Reasonable understanding of Automotive trends, segments and current dynamics and the ability to draw market valuable insights and intelligence reports
6. Cross-functional working skills to collaborate with functions like Design, Innovation, R&D, Marketing Services etc to deliver POCs.
7. Communication & Networking skills within and outside the Organization to build good relations with relevant others

ExperienceExperience: 8 to 10 years post-graduation. Having substantial experience in Product research, Ux, product studio /design, start-up engagement / management, advance product planning/product marketing.Industry PreferredQualificationsQualification: B.
