Job Description

The AMD Radeon Technology Group (RTG) develops GPU ASIC design that enhances our daily lives as we are entering an age of immersive computing. The RTG hardware engineering teams are distributed across Canada, US, China and India. The team in India is engaging on the enthusiast and high performance GPUs. As part of the RTG power & RAS verification team, your team will be responsible for scoping out & verification of the complete power management feature for various power states and configurations, RAS feature verification that includes error detection/correction/communication, machine check architecture etc. at SOC level. As always, the team is dedicated to come up with innovative solution to overcome new challenges related to specific project requirements and time-to-market.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will work with various IP & SOC teams across all our sites (GFX, Memory controller, Multimedia engines, IOs, PCIE ) to understand the features and create verification plans
  • Will help scoping out the testbench architecture and the simulation configuration
  • Will develop all the power sequences to various power states at the SOC
  • Will work with various IPs to collaborate and verify all the RAS events, give out callouts to Ips and verify the SOC context for the RAS.
  • Will work on creating test bench components like checkers, monitors, test cases, coverage infrastructure, running simulations, debug, coverage analysis & closure etc.
  • Will work on low power verification using VCLP/NLP, verification with ULPs and gatesims etc.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • 7+ years experience in Design Verification preferably with SOCs.
  • Experience with SOC verification that involves Graphics core, memory subsystem, PCIE subsystems, cache coherency, interconnects would be a plus.
  • Experience with setting up verification infrastructure would be desirable.
  • Any experience with verification of SOC power management and different power states is a plus.
  • Any experience with verification of RAS features like error detection/correction, machine check architecture etc. is a plus.
  • Should have strong experience with SV/UVM Methodology
  • Must have excellent knowledge of Design & verification flows
  • Experience in developing complex test bench/model in Verilog, System Verilog or SystemC
  • Experience in writing test plans and test cases
  • Excellent hands-on debug skills
  • Strong Verilog, System Verilog, PLI/DPI interface, SystemC or C/C++, Perl/shell script programming skills.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability and desire to foster a team environment.
  • Must be well organized and should be good at multi-tasking.
  • Good understanding for digital system and computer organization
  • Should be a confident coder and be comfortable debugging general hardware/software problems.
