Around here, our motto is build great stuff that helps solve problems for our customers and great things will follow.What you will do:As a member of the Technology organization, the QA Lead provides leadership to the testing activities for our suite of software products. These products range from web-based applications, micro-services (i.e. RESTFUL API s), Cloud applications to embedded software devices. With an emphasis on process automation, this position will lead efforts creating strategy to automate testing our suite of data, software, and hardware products to consistently deliver the highest quality solutions via SaaS, On-Premise, and other models. They will interface with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Software Developers, End Users, and Scrum Masters. Testing includes feature, functional, regression, load, performance, system, API, data validation, and automation testing. In addition, the QA Lead will assist the team manager in various areas of the QA process as outlined in duties and responsibilities below.Building an IoT solution in big data, the architecture is built around technology principles of being highly available, high performing, scalable, and highly secure. Data is transferred between the IoT devices and back-end system through data streams and REST APIs.How you will do it:Build a best-in-class and robust test automation framework, suite and adopt to an automation first approach for all product family.Be a thought leader in the design and execution of test automation.Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with overall team assignments and provide feedback on team performance and also contribute to overall team s metrics dashboard.Lead the efforts of defining, improving, and executing the overall QA process.Mentor junior engineers and the team.Review business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, design, and architecture documents in order to create effective test plans.Participate in creation of test plan, test strategy, test scenarios and test cases for each project and provide thorough estimates of QA efforts.Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to write test scenarios based on requirements.Develop, modify, and execute software test plans including both manual and automation.Maintain thorough documentation of test results, execution on confluence.Report and track defects through online tracking tool JIRA.Collaborate and troubleshoot with Software Developers to determine the root cause of issues.Become an expert in system functionality and architecture.Understand and follow defined QA processes for a successful project delivery.Participate in requirements reviews and development reviews.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and testing approaches.Requirements3 years prior experience as a Quality Assurance Team Lead or equivalent.5 years prior experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or equivalent.Experience with Python, Selenium Web Driver, JMeter.Experience with writing, developing, and executing test plans, test strategy, test scenarios, test cases.Experience with functional, feature, performance, load, fail-over, regression including automation and manual.Practical Linux knowledge - command set, processes, shell scripting.Experience with MQTT protocol, embedded system - memory maps, flash programming.Working knowledge in verifying data in relational and non-relational database i.e. Oracle, MYSQL, Mongo, Cassandra, Big Query.Experience with continuous integration / continuous delivery tools like Jenkins etc.Experience testing with cloud technologies i.e. GCP, AWS i.e. Data Flow, Big Query, Cloud SQL etc.PreferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-starter and independent worker.Team player.Project management, forecasting and estimation.Strong attention to detail.Experience working in Agile environment.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerization.Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical degree.,
