QA Test Specialist - Performance & Non-Functional Testing

We are looking for a QA Test Specialist within Non-Functional Testing to join our newly started Financial Trading system QA team. It is a new team so you will be part of building up the team from scratch, but you will also be part of an extensive network of QA people working with our Trading systems in various locations.Your role and responsibilities: As a QA Test Specialist, you will work in a cross functional product engineering team with highly skilled and experienced Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Test Engineers.Your responsibilities will be related to non-functional testing in a DevOps oriented environment for a trading system with extremely high requirements on response time latency and availability. Including such as:
• Participate in system design activities related to both functional and non-functional aspects of the systems
• Design, plan, coordinate, lead, and test system conformance to Service Level Agreements
• Tuning of system to ensure client performance expectations are met
• Create test effort estimates, test plans, test specifications and test reports
• Execute all types of tests in the non-functional area such as transaction latency, throughput, robustness, failover, operational tests, exploratory, etc.
• Automation of non-Functional tests, performance, and resilience.
• Troubleshoot and recreate reported issues.
• Track and maintain defect lists and aid development teams to ensure resolution of reported defects
• Provide reports from executed tests
We expect you to have:
• At least 6-8 years of experience as a QA of which 4yrs as a Performance and Non-Functional QA Specialist.
• Experience in performance- and resiliency testing of software and infrastructure
• Experience from analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization on large scale enterprise systems
• Substantial experience/knowledge in Programming, testing tools and performance testing
• Understanding throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization, and network technology
• Knowledge of scripting and programming in Java, Perl, Python, shell, and similar script languages
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL query plan and contention/locking analysis and tuning, ability to interpret AWR report
• Knowledge about Thread, Heap and Crash Dump analysis for performance tuning and bottleneck analysis
• Ability to evaluate open-source performance test tools and suggest suitable ones for the application under test
• Experience from working with financial systems, especially trading/clearing/settlement systems would be a merit
• Ability to build good relationships with peers, business partners, and other stakeholders.
• Bachelors in computer science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
It would be great if you have
• Experience in the trading domain or the financial market
• Experience in security related testing
• Knowledge in Linux and administration including server installation (x86 servers)
