Job Description

Provide leadership, motivation and support to the Office Heads towards raising performance standards, and be a valuable resource to the Company.Key Responsibilities
    1. Deliverables:
    Plan and evaluate the effectiveness of Area Operation Plans with specific focus towards product availability, distribution and activity management within Defense network.Facilitate the business planning and implementation process for each branch towards the business in Defense establishments/ battalionsEffective leadership for Branch Managers/ Office HeadsEnsure cost efficiency in all aspects with specific focus towards Officer Prahri and SM hiring and optimize cost of recruitment.
    • Liaison with senior officials of Indian Armed forces, Para military organizations, State Arm Forces, Police organizations, RPSF,RPF, GRP, STF and CIAT forces of States.
    • Maintaining KRA (Key Responsibilities Area) report of team members on daily & monthly basis
    • Ensuring timely service delivery as well as collections from the clients within the stipulated period while managing the distribution system of the company and maintaining smooth operation
    1. Business Results:
    Monitor and evaluate achievement of Branch sales against Targets month on month.Ensure the Defense contribution of Business (sourced from Army/Navy/Air Force/Paramilitary/Police) is 70% on the overall NOP target YTD.
    1. Process:
    Streamlining and development of processes to ensure smooth managementOptimize cost across your businessEnsure effective use of different training modules and selling skills program for the OHs, SMs & Sr. Consultant BDs
    1. Resource Management:
    Operational Cost ManagementEnsure cost efficiency in all aspects of all operations of the respective branches including fixed costs.
    • Drive efficiencies in onward distribution expenses and in branch support expenditure
    • Support the Companys Retail Strategy Plan.
    Relationship Management- Internal
    • For overall operational effectiveness, partner/ influence with support functions namely HR, Operations & Training.
    People Development
    • Enable superlative performance standards through alignment of the team with the organizations objects.
    • Ensure clear communication of the overall strategies and drive ownership on all tasks expected to be performed by the Branch team Develop Competencies of the team
    • Ensure implementation of the Development plans.
    1. Code of Conduct and Compliance of all Regulatory norms:
    Ensure adherence of code of conduct by the entire Team in respective branchesConfirmation to all financial and administrative systems.Ensure Compliance to all statutory & regulatory norms.
    • Ensure compliance with all the Branch norms set by PLI
    1. Customer Relationship Management- External:
    Actively network and build relationships in the defense establishments/ cantonmentsReview of selling arrangements and quality of sales advice and after sales engagementEnsure adequate focus to the business.Job Specifications:Qualifications: Graduate/ Post Graduate - MBA (preferred)Experience:
    • 7-14 years of work experience in insurance industry, preferably from defense background. Should have experience of leading a team of result oriented Branch Managers (Up to 20 yrs of work experience if a senior Army/Navy/AF officer is being hired for the position of Area Manager).
    • Extensive people management experience from defense background
    Preference of Industry Background:
    • Preference 1: 3-4 yrs in Insurance/financial sales exp + defense background.
    • Preference 2: 3-4 yrs in Sales background ,any industry + defense background
    • Preference 3: 7-14 yrs of defense experience (ex- servicemen)
    • Preference 4: Insurance Sales + history of adaptability to new business avenues.
    • Preference 5: Pure defense family background (current serving personnel).
