Job Description

    The role of Senior Engineer is to make technical contribution in Sustaining engineering activities by providing technical contribution within an area of expertise to detailed design, development and verification activities for an assigned product, project or solution. The successful candidate will possess solid hands-on technical abilities, an excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.This position is based out of Bangalore and reporting to the Software Manager for Respiratory Health division of Front Line Care.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for test case design, test execution, test data preparation, test automation and defect reporting to ensure coverage and quality
    • Build cutting edge test frameworks using latest technologies and/or enhance existing design
    • Execute the suite of functional and regression test cases on multiple application platforms like web, mobile and desktop
    • Contribute actively to development of testing tools/utilities on need basis
    • Review test artifacts from quality, stability and performance standpoint
    • Interact with cross-functional team members to develop and refine test strategy and effort estimation
    • Adherence to committed milestones and agreed scope of builds/releases by completing the assigned activities as planned, proactively highlighting dependencies & risks for assigned activities
    • Ensure complete test coverage of SW changes/scope
    • Drive reviews with quality team and ensure closure of all comments/gaps/non-compliances
    • Review test artifacts and drive improvements in V&V efficiency across workstreams
    • Communicate test results and defect reports to stakeholders periodically
    • Adhere to agreed agile/scrum practices, deliverables and ceremonies and usage of JIRA on a daily basis
    • Conduct trainings and provide assistance to junior test engineers as needed
    • Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems and possess the ability to think abstractly
    Your Team:You will be reporting to Software Manager for Respiratory Health. This position does not have any direct reports. You will need to work collaboratively with R&D and cross functions.Your Location:The role is located in the BRD facility in Bangalore India.What You ll Bring:
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology or a related specialization
    • 6-9 years of experience in software testing with minimum of 3 years as a senior SDET / automation engineer
    • Proficient in testing methodologies, processes, tools and techniques
    • Solid programming skills in C/C++/Java/Python
    • Hands-on experience in building test automation for GUI, API and mobile interfaces
    • Deep expertise in building automation frameworks for enterprise SW from scratch
    • Well versed with API/web services testing and use of automation frameworks like RESTAssured
    • Possess superior debugging skills to discover causes of test failures and environment issues
    • Good understanding of TDD/BDD methodologies
    • Experience in testing cloud-based applications (PaaS/SaaS/IaaS)
    • Strong in database concepts
    • Well versed with healthcare processes and best practices
    • Sound in technical documentation
    • Familiarity with Git, Maven, Ant and Linux OS
    • Experience working in agile model and good knowledge of JIRA
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Quick learner and self-starter, able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Good understanding of regulatory standards such as ISO-13485, IEC-62304
