Search Jobs Job DescriptionWe are looking for people who want to work on multi-tier, highly scalable solutions to deliver the next generation of VMware vRealize Suite products addressing the leading edge requirements that arise in this new model and era of computing. Working as part of a broader team, the candidate will establish new requirements and play a key role in the design, implementation and validation of features to deliver on this broader vision for VMware.ResponsibilitiesConducting API, black-box, functional, system, and stress testing activities.Test automation and code coverage analysisIdentify testability requirementsParticipate in regular scrum meetings, planning and story pointing sessions, and design and code reviewsTrain and mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance and directionCommunicate technical dependencies and concerns/issues effectivelyRun code coverage and provide coverage inputs to the development teamCreate and review test strategy/plans, test cases, and test specificationsDesign, develop and execute manual and automated testsWork with PM organization in associating requirements with customer use casesWork closely with VMware R&D and other Quality Engineering teams, to leverage existing test cases and test suites currently available for internal useDevelop techniques for effective communication and collaboration with onsite and remote members of development, QE, and PM teamsTake initiative to improve products, tools, and processWork closely with developers to resolve issues and reproduce bugsManage activities to meet delivery dates and milestones, and communicate status and risks to QE leads and project teamRequirementsBachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree7 years of total Quality Assurance experience5 years experience with test automation tools and techniquesBasic systems administration skills (installing and configuring operating systems (Linux, Windows), Domain and hardware)Good Understanding of OOPS conceptsExperience developing UI and functional Automation using one or more of the following tools : Selenium, Silk, Python, or equivalentGood understanding of the internals of Linux operating systemExperience in developing test frameworks and toolsExperience in Web Services testing (REST /SOAP), Web Application testing, and API test development using Java is a plusExposure to Bug Tracking Tools (viz. Jira, Bugzilla) and Test management Tools (viz.
