Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies include Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet, and Cepheid.The IDC workforce comprises various product engineering teams, working on the development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular Diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery, and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as a center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.The in-house teams work in close coordination with other global R&D centers in the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, China, and Singapore. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 K.Position Description :The Senior Software Engineer I: UI Test Automation will report to the Engineering Manager- Software Automation QA and will bring his/her expertise to improving our automation systems through hand-on development of our automation framework and test automation suite.You will leverage your past experience and technical background to plan and conduct all levels of verification against our software products within an agile team development team. You will utilize the necessary tools and agile processes to assist developers, ensure that the product conforms to the highest standards of customer expectations, and assist with the evaluation and management of tools, frameworks, and verification environments.The team member will be located in Bangalore and will closely collaborate with the teams in Toronto, Canada.Responsibilities :Specific responsibilities commensurate with experience and include:

• Responsible for Verification Strategy, Infrastructure, Planning and Execution (UI Automation and Manual test cases)
• Participate in requirements, architecture, and design reviews to come up with an appropriate automation test strategy.
• Author Review & execute automated/manual tests.
• Develop & Maintenance of Automation Test Cases / Frameworks for desktop applications
• Excellent communication skills, ability to quickly make and influence technical decisions as part of the product development, and drive open issues to a successful closure
• Drive continuous integration by development and automated execution of verification & validation tests.
• Provide estimates of detailed level project-related verification activities.
• Understand and manage integration points with other systems that interface with your applications
• Minimal travel as needed
• Attend morning/night meetings with a global team in multiple locations on a weekly basis.

Key Requirement & Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or B.Eng. in Software Engineering and/or 7+ years of related experience
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are an absolute necessity
• 3+ years experience in programming in C# and Visual Studio
• Hands-on experience in desktop applications, automation software tools, concepts, and applications.
• Experience working with remote teams is desired
• Experience with automation test framework design and development
• Experience with FDD product development practices
• Experience with creating test plans and test cases, as well as automation of test cases
• Familiar with automation framework design and development
• A strong interest and a quick learner in new software technologies relating to SaaS
• Excellent problem-solving skills using a logical methodology
• Understanding of verification requirements for regulated environments preferred
• Ability to design relevant test cases based on realistic customer workflows
• Experience with Agile Scrum/Kanban processes, and work management tools: JIRA, Confluence
