Job Description

HPE 3PAR Storage System Engineer responsible for reproductions of customer found issues in a customer like environment. The person in this position will work closely with support and Engineering teams to understand the key attributes of a customer environment and workload that could be involved in the customer experiencing issues not found in internal testing, reproducing the issue, working collaboratively to root cause the issue and then verifying the fix to the root cause works in the customer-like environment. In this position you will be researching customer environments to understand customer configurations, workloads, and specific use cases of the HPE Storage products like Primera, Nimble in their IT environment and develop and execute regression testing. You will also reproduce customer specific issues and work with development teams to resolve and eliminate customer bugs. Shall develop a proactive approach to eliminate bugs prior to SE and HW Release. You will interact with Development Engineers and Architects. This job requires a Systems Engineer Mentality to understand all of the components HW and SW in the Customer Environment and day to day customer usage and challenges. Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware designYou will work with a world class team on qualification and testing of the next generation infrastructure and lifecycle management portfolio of HPE products. Responsibilities:

  • Work with value chain partners to understand product requirement and influence features, functionality and design to build debuggable, programmable and maintainable software and arrive at effective and efficient test strategies.
  • Write unit / functional /system/ performance /scalability testing test plans and test cases and automation of the same.
  • Research, recommend and implement open source and other tools as needed to increase automation across the board with the view of optimizing & creating better test and release efficiencies.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 3-5 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Work as part of a scrum team to understand the release feature requirements and define the test plan and Test Strategy.Work with the test architect / manager to define the goals for Functional and System Tests
  • Develop test plans, test cases and plan the test activities
  • Execute and automate the test cases in the areas of Functional and System testing
  • Good understanding of storage domain, hardware desirable.
  • Experience in Python, Pytest, Selenium
