Job Description

*Job Specification: QA Architect

  • 8-12 years of experience in UI Software Manual and Automation testing.
  • Hands-on experience in Manual Testing, Automation Framework Development, test Automation, Test Scenario Creation, Test Case Creation, Test Case Execution, Traceability matrix, Logging & Tracking bugs, Regression Testing & Test Closure.
  • Successful track record as Quality Assurance Lead.
  • Good knowledge of Squish is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in Testing In-Vehicle Infotainment UI.
  • Expertise in Python Scripting Language.
  • Experience in CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience is Agile Software Development process (SCRUM/KANBAN)
  • Experience in proposing Test Strategies, Reviewing requirements with Business Users and preparing test Estimates with test Plan.

Skills
  • Expert level skills in Manual testing and Test Automation.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in GUI Test Automation in Qt/QML.
  • Should have good knowledge on Test methodologies and should have Expert level knowledge on different types of testing.
  • Capability to plan manual testing, to write test cases and to execute on manual testing.
  • Good Knowledge on automation tools like Squish.
  • Expert in Python programming.
  • Familiar with using Test Coverage Tools like gcov, lcov
  • Good experience in using Bug Tracking systems. Experience with JIRA/HP QC/Bugzilla or similar defect tracking tool(s) & Documentation Tools like Confluence.
  • Good understanding of Project Life Cycle and Test Life Cycle.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Proven capability to train other engineers on testing tasks.
  • Excellent communication and team work skills.
Job Responsibilities
  • Handle test team & responsible for all QA activities.
  • Analysing Functional Requirements and Automation Requirements.
  • Preparing the test scripts or test cases for all the responsible projects.
  • Identifying Test Scenarios, Corner cases and suggesting improvements.
  • Documenting the Traceability of Test Cases/Automation Test Scripts w.r.t Test cases and Requirement docs.
  • Prepare Test Plan/Test Strategy and perform reviews.
  • Test Estimations & Test Design.
  • Test Execution - Functional & Regression testing of In-Vehicle Infotainment UI.
  • Perform Manual Test Case Execution and document the Test Results.
  • Co-ordinate with the Automation team in writing scripts, executing the same and document Automation Test Results.
  • Log defects in Quality Center/JIRA and report the progress to Sr. QA Lead/ Manager.
  • QA Lead/ Manager in capturing and reporting Test Metrics. Provide required support in Analysis of metrics, Test coverage report, root cause analysis and implementation of improvement actions, as necessary.
  • Should come up with innovative and smart ways of doing work, without compromising on quality.
  • Help other test engineers on testing tasks.
  • Should be capable of handling different projects as and when needed.
  • Interaction with Counterparts from other locations on Test Strategy, Release Sign-Offs, Test Approach and Providing Test Solutions.
