Job Description

Lead Validation Engineer - MBP IN, Chennai | Professional | Full-Time | ID: 12443Vestas is the world leader in wind technology and a driving force in the development of the wind power industry. Come and Join us at Vestas!Blades Launch & Execution -> Blades Service Center -> Product Requirement Fulfilment Product Requirement Fulfilment(PRF) is a part of Blades Service Centre(BSC) in Blades Launch & Execution Centre (BLEC). This department is responsible for handling QBD in manufacturing, Manufacturing Baseline Package execution / sign off, performance monitoring of process & product, process assessment, early engagement with design and knowledge sharing with factories and business process creation and rollout. The department will consist of skilled industry experts within filed of manufacturing, process trouble shooting, optimization, cost reduction & solutioning through specialists located in Chennai, IndiaResponsibilities

  • Validate product and process risk in a new blade development projects and sign off Manufacturing baseline package in relations to quality, cost & time maturity
  • Support in manufacturing process robustness by identifying & controlling variation parameters including the incoming supplier items
  • Validate the CTQs by reviewing the design & process against capability
  • Perform statistical analysis and interpret data from the validation studies and confirm with requirement in validation report
  • Facilitate problem solving to identify root cause and propose corrective actions
  • Validate BoM to reflect the actual consumption against the planned
  • Support tech transfer/ handover to the receiving factory with lessons learned
Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering with minimum of 7~12 years of experience in manufacturing industry
  • Experience from the wind turbine industry or similar relevant
  • Knowledge on NDT methods such as Thermography, Ultrasonic Testing
  • Experience with statistical data and tolerance analysis
  • Experience with application of FMEA, control plans, capability studies and MSA
  • Systematic problem-solving methodologies like 8D, Shainin tools, DOE, etc
  • Knowledge on APQP4wind and Six sigma methodology, Green belt certified
  • Professional communication skills in English, orally and written
