The application is mainly for Structured Product used by Wealth Management users. The application is hosted in Asia. As there are various activities and also projects, including a new project to replace Calypso with a new product, plus support of existing Calypso application, the Products Division needs to have strong Java developer who can work independently with minimal supervision, contributing to the delivery, liaising with tester, support manager and project managers to deliver project on time. Responsibilities Direct ResponsibilitiesSupport, develop and deploy the Calypso and Contineo interfacing modules and its related projectsResponsible for the delivery of the Calypso and Contineo components with good quality and on timeResponsible for the technical specificationsReports to the Development Chapter Lead and contribute relevant and quality outputs to the ChapterContributing ResponsibilitiesDevelop program in Java codes (java 8 and above)Produce and maintain program codes and documentationPerform system testing within Calypso, Contineo and other dependency applicationsProvide support during various phases of testingAnalyse application problems, recommend and develop solutions and suggest improvementsReview requirements with the BA and Business and provides effort estimates for task completionReview codes and suggest best practices Technical & Behavioral Competencies Expert on Java 8 and above, Oracle database and Unix Shell ScriptingHands-on experience with various Java / Web technologies and frameworks: Spring (Core, Security, MVC), JPA, Hibernate, REST API, JMS, Maven;Good exposure on various web technologies: Angular, Typescript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Vanilla JavascriptUnderstanding of XML and related technologyUnderstanding of IBM MQ and related messaging technologyDemonstrates analytical and problem solving skillsExperience in preparing technical and functional test casesAble to work with minimal supervision Specific Qualifications (if required)Good and clear communicationGood attitudeCommitted and dedicated.Able to work in a team.Understanding of financial instruments.
