Job Description

    • Over 8 years of professional experience as System Administrator in various environment including Red Hat Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, SuSE Linux platforms
    • Experience in installation, configuration, upgrade, maintenance, performance monitoring and troubleshooting of RHEL Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS and Ubuntu on various types of servers.
    • Efficient in installation, configuration and implementation of RAID using various tools like Logical Volume Manager
    • Experience in implementation of high availability Cluster (Active / Active, Active / Passive) Experience with working on GFS file systems
    • Experience with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of RHEL, CentOS on VMware based environments.
    • Configuration and Administration of NFS, DNS, NIS, DHCP, Samba, SSH and LDAP on Solaris and Linux.
    • Installing, performance tuning and troubleshooting of various Application Servers/Clients like http, Tomcat, Oracle, MySQL, and Apache
    • Good knowledge in Shell scripting using bash, sh, ksh.
    • Experience in solving day-to-day operational issues and technical issues on system integration and managing user and security administration.
    • Proficient in Performance Monitoring of CPU, Disks, memory and Network.
    • Monitoring tools experience on Nagios Monitoring, experience on change control and root cause analysis.
    • Excellent knowledge of SAN Administration, LAN/WAN/Subnets/VPN/Firewalls, TCP/IP networks, OSI layers, and Client/Server architecture.
    • Hands on experience with various Linux text processing tools like vi, sed, awk, grep etc.
    • Documenting processes, best practices, troubleshooting procedures, presentations on intranet servers which include wikis.
