Job Description

    As a Project Manager at BGSW, you will be responsible for managing the development of Cloud based scalable web application. You will be leading a team of multi co-located software engineers who are passionate to collaborate and deliver this product.Core Responsibilities
    • Planning, tracking, reporting of Project activities and Milestones.
    • Responsible for supervising, tracking and reporting on all stages of the project, including ideation / concept, requirements, agile development, testing, launch and support
    • Strong involvement in customer meetings to present details about feature implementation/change/error understanding, define problem statement, root cause, providing estimation, possible solutions and recommended solutions
    • Help remove impediments that customer cannot address by themselves
    • Ability to validate work estimates provided by customers
    • Take ownership of successful delivery of the project
    • Proactively sense risks to the project schedule, help mitigate them and escalate, if needed
    • Work collaboratively with stakeholders towards successful project delivery
    • Be on top of all technical aspects on the product, at a high level
    • Lead all conversations that involve interfacing with various applications
    • Provide reports for the project, to leadership at a regular cadence
    • Work closely with team (s) to ensure project success
    • Track project progress and performance with the help of carefully selected metrics and be able to communicate the same to leadership
    • Constantly track product quality and support proactive and reactive initiatives
    • Stay connected to the ground situation by holding regular and frequent conversations with Product Owners and Architects
    • Attend / conduct key agile events such as Planning, Demo/Review and Retrospective meetings
    • Constantly evolve the ways of working to ensure continuous improvement
    Skills
    • Min 10 experience Project management skills: Scope, Cost, Schedule, Risk, Quality, and stakeholder management
    • Proficient in the agile ways of working with a working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban
    • Ability to get the job done
    • Should have experience as a professional web app developer working in Front end/back-end/full stack technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Javascript, databases (mango-db etc), cloud etc.) and their applicability in different business scenarios.
    • Should have demonstrable experience as project manager in project related to above technologies
    Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
    • Well versed with the usage of Jira and Confluence, as a user (and not necessarily as an administrator)
    • Have a good understanding of the agile philosophy and the mindset and be able to user the same in his/her day-to-day workings
    • Skilled in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project
    Soft Skills
    • Ability to analyze a given situation quickly and effectively and to talk relevant action
    • Ability to perform well under pressure
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to abstract out relevant information and make it meaningful, for the target audience
    • Leadership and interpersonal skills ability to carry people along, facilitate and negotiate
    • Good facilitator with the ability to facilitate key meetings and events
    • Ability to manage time well and to multi-task effectively
    • Ability to act independently with little or no handholding
