Job Description

    About the opportunityDepartment DescriptionFinancial Planning & Analysis, commonly known as FP&A, is responsible for providing financial support, analysis and management information to the Board, the Global Operating Committee (GOC) and other senior members of FIL management.A large proportion of the team s activity is focused on:
    • Continuously striving to make our regular reporting as informative as possible.
    • Supplying valuable analysis to support debate and decision-making at GOC and other senior management meetings.
    • Co-ordinating FIL s annual budget process.
    • Ownership of the management reporting hierarchy.
    In addition to these group-wide responsibilities, we provide local Business Finance support to the Group Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Head of Shared Services as well as the Technology, Investment Management, Corporate Property Services functions. This support includes expense reporting, forecasting and recharging to internal customers together with a significant amount of ad hoc analysis.Purpose of your roleThe role is intended to provide an appropriate level of Business Finance support to the Technology and Digital function including monthly reporting, ad-hoc analysis and project support.Key Responsibilities
    • P&L analysis of Technology - Infrastructure Services (TIS) and other Technology functions.
    • Support in preparation of Rolling Forecast, collaborate with the forecast owners or directs of Technology Leadership Group using IT Planning, align Anaplan and IT Planning forecast.
    • Provide regular financials update on Direct Cost and Headcount for Actuals and Rolling Forecast to Technology Leadership areas.
    • Review of monthly and year to date vendor spend during pre and post month end close and comparison against forecast.
    • Review and rectification of requisitions as part of purchase order staging activity.
    • Review and analysis of monthly service charges and allocations to businesses, provide explanations of variance to budget.
    • Provide various ad hoc analysis to stakeholders under challenging time frames.
    • Work closely with the global business finance team in the UK, Europe, Asia and India.
    • Relationship building and stakeholder management across geographies.
    • Support stakeholders and local manager in projects or stretch-opportunities.
    • Identifying, designing and implementing process improvement initiatives for increased efficiency.
    Experience and Qualifications Required
    • A qualified accountant/MBA with 3-5 years experience.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
    • Knowledge of Essbase, HFM, and JDE would be an advantage.
    • Good financial analysis skills including, knowledge of accounting principles and industry standard packages

    • Sound analytical skills with an eye for details.
    • Good at numbers and able to co-relate data/ information.
    • Keen to review processes and drive improvements.
    • Ability to grasp new concepts, assimilate information and deliver high quality solutions with speed.
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Power Point and Word.
    • Knowledge of ERP- Hyperion / Apptio / Alteryx would be an added advantage
