Job Description

Position Summary:

This is an opportunity to support Bain s expanding proprietary data business, helping to build a new start-up at Bain to deliver the NPS Prism product, a market-leading customer experience benchmarking service. NPS Prism creates NPS and episode benchmarks by surveying very large numbers of customers in a given sector. Customers are asked to identify the companies with which they do business, declare their likelihood to recommend each provider, describe why, and answer a battery of additional questions designed to reveal experiences with specific episodes, as well as share of wallet, channel preference, and other important data.

BCN Prism CoE associate will work closely with the BCN Team manager, NPS Prism Product Manager, General Manager, Bain Partners, and the Proprietary Data group to build and deliver a commercially successful product that spans core sectors across all regions.

Essential Functions:

  • Proficient professional with sound business logic and ability to structure approaches to answer complex business questions
  • Able to quickly come up to speed on different businesses and perform research and analysis across all geographies and industries
  • Proficient in research and analysis, but able to provide solid business judgment to derive answers in situations where data is not easily available or explicitly published
  • Able to interface with primary client contact (Bain case teams from any global office)
  • May have first level team management responsibility which involves allocating and reviewing work to a small team of analysts and conducting performance discussions, writing reviews for appraisal
  • Managing fielding process and vendors, based on quality of data coming in from soft launch
  • Resolving roadblocks on fielding and working with vendors to meet deadlines in time and quality
  • Provide context to programming team as needed and specialist team where required
  • QC testing link to make sure it meets business objectives and dashboards to make sure they meet business requirements and are client ready
  • Desktop research on competitors for new and existing instruments
  • Survey design creation and content (writing the questions and owning the word doc)
  • Thought leadership and adhoc analyses on industry level insights
  • Framing new analyzes and design thinking on new dashboards, building proof of concepts for new modules
  • Interpreting driver and statistically analyzes the data, helping specialists connect the dots with business and company strategy

Qualifications:

  • Candidate should be a Graduate from a top-tier College with strong academic records and 24-48 months of experience or a Post Graduate from top-tier College with 0-24 months of experience. Candidates should possess excellent analytical, communication, problem solving and team player skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. Should possess strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Prior experience in similar analytical roles may be an added advantage.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :

  • Knowledge in any of the tools such as Alteryx, tableau, SQL is a plus
  • Knowledge in primary research studies or design of such studies is also an advantage
