BI and Analytics - Associate Director

Job Description

*As Associate Director of application services team, you will be leading a team to deliver applications for the use of Jacobs employees and customers worldwide. It involves managing resources, schedules, financials and adhere to quality controls throughout the full system development life cycle. It also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. You will contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. Your people management skills will help in motivating the team to meet challenging project targets and help them grow in their career. Your superior communication and coordination skills will help in stakeholder management for smooth execution of the projects and to regularly report project status to the senior leadership.

• Be involved in full lifecycle development and implementation of enterprise BI & DWH solutions lead the technical development and implementation of the solution providing technical leadership to offshore team
• Technical Mentorship and career guidance for a team of direct reports (Tech Leads) and other DW/BI practice members
• Take complete responsibility for successful delivery of all allocated projects on the parameters of Schedule, Quality and Customer Satisfaction.
• Ensures timely identification of risk/problem areas and puts into place appropriate mitigation plans.
• Responsible for estimation of team deliverables/projects.
• Own overall communication within the team- between Delivery teams offshore and onsite, and other stake holders
• Proactively assesses and identifies technical training needs and initiates training sessions in those areas.
• Responsible for working with onshore teams and technical leads to understand business needs

• Demonstrated ability to effectively recruit, develop and retain talent.
• Strong communication skills (written and spoken).
• Technical education preferred.
• Prior experience in systems integration consulting preferred.
• Strong Accumen in powerBI and OBIEE required.
• Solid understanding of business intelligence / data warehousing / business analytics technologies is critical to success of the position. Experience in BI/Analytics platforms such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Cognos, Business Objects, OBIEE is a big plus.
• Experience with cloud / software as a service solutions
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from a reputed university.
• Overall 15+ years of experience in software development with 4+ years in BI/DWH/ETL technologies.
• Possess prior experience in a DWH Architect/lead role in a large DW implementation developed from Offshore / Offsite delivery centers:
• Experience in designing BI & DWH Information Management Architectures, data models, ETL, metadata, cubes and drill through reports using BI platforms
• Demonstrable experience in leading and driving BI capability within a large global organization.
• Hands-on functional or Product (OBIEE) /OBIA development leadership experience: at least 3 full implementation lifecycles
• Strong functional and technical experience in implementing and supporting OBIEE/OBIA framework and BI Applications
• Working in developer position in a BI team with strong process and functional experience of Oracle Financials (R12)
• Deep knowledge of OBIEE,Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), BI Apps, Business Objects, Informatica, Tableau, SSRS, SQL, Oracle 11i/R12
• Experience with upper quadrant BI Reporting Tools Tableau and/or (OBIEE): report/dashboard development is required, ability to design/troubleshoot RPD is desired.
• Demonstrated capabilities in managing the development of BI solutions, data modelling, report and dashboard delivery, database administration and performance tuning
• Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and DWH practices
• Have strong collaboration, communication and influencing skills
• Project management experience is a plus
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels within an organization.
• Knowledge on cloud technologies like Tableau 9.x, Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Services (BICS) and OBIEE 12C.
• Good working experience in OBIA and OBIEE publisher reporting
• Experience in Oracle EBS R12 /R11 Financial Analytics, HR Analytics
• Strong understanding of relational, Multi- Dimensional database concepts and OLAP.
• Good knowledge on SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in design, development, Installation and configuration of ODI BI Apps environments on both Linux and Windows platforms.
• Good Analytical, Communication Skills and ability to work independently
• Innovative in Approach, quick learning new methods, technologies and putting them into daily practice.
