Job Description

Key AccountabilitiesWhat the role entails:

  • Partner with business leadership to devise and implement an end-to-end supply chain strategy by ensuring synergies across domains, leading to distinct competitive advantage
  • Develop quality vendor partnerships and product sourcing on a global scale
  • Manage the entire source to pay and procure to pay cycle.
  • Address sourcing requirements for critical-to-business items by reviewing offerings and conducting negotiations with vendors/contractors
  • Drafting strong contracts protecting STLs business interests; Provide technical guidance during drafting of new contracts; Drive contract governance and resolve issues, as required
  • Define risk management processes and work with business to identify key risks on the sourcing/ procurement side. Build contingency plans to mitigate risks
  • Drive the business acquisition cycle across - pre-RFP stage, plan RFP T&Cs, align RFP to STL s eligibility, price negotiation, contract management, handover contract to respective teams
  • Lead team in gathering market and competitor intelligence to draw inferences for STL; Drive team to conduct robust supply chain analytics, draw inferences and implement learnings in the existing ecosystem
  • Undertake strategic initiatives and change management for the improvement of sourcing & procurement function
  • Handle resource planning and budgetary approvals for sourcing/ procurement activities
  • Build, sustain and leverage relationships with stakeholders across functions/businesses/units and externally with partners/vendors/suppliers to drive alignment and promote STLs interests
  • Actively identify opportunities for improvement and automation of existing systems and processes
What are we looking for in you:
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Cross-functional Business acumen to understand interdependencies and Sensitivities
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Communication and diplomacy skills to direct/ persuade/ influence others. Able to manage both internal & external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry, Data Networking, latest trends in 5G/ Wireless Technologies is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of telecom technology buying, CAPEX buying duties, sourcing process and materials management
Preferred Experience and QualificationBE + MBA with minimum 14 years of experience in SCM from Technology/ Chipset / Electronics industry,
