Discover how you can make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.Please enter the external job description here (remove this line)Job description (heading) / Description du poste (titre)We are looking for an Application Analyst with a strong technical background to join the application support team within Corporate Application Solutions (CAS).In this role you are the Archer expert exposed to a variety of assignments, responding to service requests, problem solving, maintaining stability, performing technical implementations, and coordinate activities to maintain, enhance and customize the Archer application.The successful candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, can work effectively with external consultants, business analysts, architects, designers, developers, technical infrastructure resources, account teams and business partners to build and implement IT solutions that meet business needs.Preferred skills (heading) / Comptences particulires (titre)Archer Certified Administrator ExpertKnowledge of SQLExperience with JavascriptExperience with system performance analysis and testingFamiliar with FTP/SFTP network protocolsProficient with the ITIL framework and processes such as Change, Incident, Problem, Release, and Configuration ManagementUnderstanding of Agile MethodologiesExperience with DevOps Tools (Git, BitBucket, TFS, Gradle, Jenkins)Excellent verbal and written communications skillsResponsibilities (heading) / Responsabilits (titre)Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge for the continued development of Archer and its day-to-day activitiesAssist with the architecture and design of solutions within Archer to either expand upon core applications or develop on-demand applications to meet client requirementsPerform Impact Analysis on proposed changes and vendor platform upgradesConfigure and deploy packages, patches, releases in multiple environmentsContribute to project plans, estimations and status updatesIdentify gaps and issues, develop and maintain processes that address and resolve them, (and be sure to communicate/alert stakeholders as needed)Proactively put forward ideas that speak to project objectives (e.g. development, testing solutions, and tools)Apply and share technical expertise during incident management life cycle (e.g. analyzes reports and outages, perform impact assessments, facilitate stakeholder communication)Ensure Sun Life Information Security Policies and GCC are complied to in any solutionJob Category:IT - Application Development,
