You will have experience as a leader of leaders, with significant multi-vertical India Public Sector exposure, preferably across Healthcare, Education, Local Government and Non-Profit customers. It is critical that you have a passion to hire, develop and lead a skilled team to execute on increasing digital adoption and innovation in the India Public Sector. You will need to be adept at interacting, communicating, and partnering with other departments within AWS India such as our services teams, marketing, and professional services, as well as representing your team to executive management. A successful candidate will have led large and complex organisations, built and scaled high performing teams, be familiar with business operations best practices, be dedicated to diversity and inclusivity, and have world class business acumen.This is a high growth leadership role that requires both leading through leaders and teams alongside managing customer escalations and conversing frequently at executive level both internally and externally. Leading a team of BD executives and solution architects, the Country Leader, India Public Sector will help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of Amazon s utility computing web services within the India public sector at all levels of government and within the education and non-profit space. S/he will be responsible for developing opportunity pipelines in the government and education / non-profit markets, evangelizing cloud computing and driving growth and user adoption, and driving engagement at the CIO/CTO level , to ensure better CX and compliance with global AWS standards, practices and policies. S/he will also be responsible for working with the AWS India public policy team to help shape emerging public policies around the use of cloud computing, and working with the AWS India partner team to develop a robust partner ecosystem.Key job responsibilities Develop and implement strategic revenue growth plans, identify new business opportunities, and anticipate, understand, and react to market and customer needs. Serve as the customer advocate by representing, responding, and managing the voice of the customer. Review market analysis to determine customer needs regarding market requirements, acquisition and pricing. Exceed defined metrics for revenue, profitability, growth, and customer loyalty. Work with marketing and PR to build a rich calendar and set of programs for business development, including content for activities such as educational events, tradeshows, media coverage, and presentations. Engage directly with major public sector customers to develop solid relationships to help develop new programs and market opportunities. Tightly manage the growth and pipeline and forecast process for this business. Create reporting and metrics with operations team that clearly and accurately report the health and progress of the business. Manage and supervise a team of BD/ revenue growth generating professionals. Create strategic partnerships and alliances with other players in the public sector space to assist in accelerating this aggressive and rapidly growing Cloud market. Establish program win strategies by developing and leading a process for major business capture, proposal preparation, and business negotiations. Perform market research to identify business and quantify opportunities for AWS solutions. Assist in preparing and directing the messaging and positioning for presentation materials for your market., 15 years plus experience in a world class technology companies selling and managing a sales software, hardware or services company. Rich and diverse back ground of Enterprise sales management Five plus years experience in public sector (e.g., government and/or education) market direct business. Has grown an established business, ideally in a new market segment demonstrating year over year new business growth. Demonstrated leadership and high judgement in managing growth and diversity in a fast expanding, cross-functional organization. Experience successfully partnering with and communicating effectively at CxO level on long term, highly strategic programs Proven track record of executing large, highly technical strategic co-development and partnership engagements Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as business acumen in determining strategic vision and running a complex technical business People/sales management direct experience. 15+ years of direct field experience in working with enterprise public sector accounts developing and executing strategies using multiple types of resources (Professional, Solutions Architects, Training, Partners) Background of delivering organization transformation in support of digital technology and business outcomes Blend of experience across multi-verticals, ideally Healthcare, Education and Local Government businesses as well as a demonstrated ability to operate in anentrepreneurial, agile environment Very high energy level with a positive disposition. A self-starter who is customer focused. Ability to execute performance through self-motivation and with minimum supervision. Proven ability to initiate action, manage change, make high impact decisions, and complete challenging assignments. Ability to multi-task and exhibit a high level of enthusiasm, common sense, initiative, collaboration, and creativity.
