To this end, Microsoft invests in a dedicated Customer Success team with Customer Engineers, who will help Microsoft customers successfully realize their business outcomes.Customer Engineers (CEs) are deep technical advisors supporting customers to deliver unique value by removing blockers to consumption within their given Solution Area. The Customer Engineer provides support delivery services as well as technical readiness. Customer Engineer services can be delivered either remotely or on-premises, and this role can include a mixture of short and long-term customer engagements.As a Customer Engineer, you will be a key technical resource for the customer to help drive digital transformation through all Azure technologies. You will be working with our customers to help build, deploy, operate, support, and optimize a customers cloud or on-premises environment.Customer Impact 40%
    • Participates in proactive delivery, spots performance issues, analyzes problems, develops solutions to meet customer needs (including skilling needs), represents them.
    • Engages in strategic service delivery planning, in partnership with the account team, to strengthen targeted customer relationships and support accurate customer contactability for surveys.
    • Gathers customer impressions of products and services and integrates this feedback into decision making and service delivery planning.
    • Seeks information about the underlying needs of customers and recommends service delivery to meet those needs.
    • Provides and drives actionable feedback across groups about the customer/partner experience and competitor threats.
    • Understands customer/partner requirements and can map the adoption and optimization of Microsoft technology solutions accordingly.
    • Provides the most effective method of service delivery by analyzing trends and common themes across customers.
    • Builds plans that consider potential obstacles and immediate and long-term consequences.
    • Demonstrates expertise in a specific solution, or several products, feature functions, or services.
    • Provides stakeholder assistance throughout deployment to avoid/resolve technical issues.

    , Technical
    • Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management. Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following: required
      • Application development platforms on public clouds and/or Azure in development languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, PHP, C#, Node.JS targeting Android, iOS, Linux, Windows, public clouds or Azure.
      • Scalable architectures using Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration (e.g. AKS, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift etc.), microservice frameworks etc.
    • Software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains (i.e. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps, GitHub) required
    • Understanding of Data & AI technologies in context of app development (e.g. SQL and NoSQL Databases, Big Data, Cognitive Service, Machine Learning etc.) preferred
    • Understanding of Low code platform and technologies such as Power Platform. preferred
