DevOps Engineer III Expedia Group is looking for a DevOps to join EGDL Operation team. You will responsible for designing, testing, deploying and operating highly scalable automation frameworks and solutions. You will be working together with the end users, the business SMEs to support operational tasks.Our mission is to power reliable, trustworthy and scalable data products, that fuel decision-making and give a competitive advantage to Expedia Group.We use a blend of open source, custom development, and commercial tools to deliver and operate petabyte-scale data platforms used across the business. Our ecosystem includes multiple cloud providers, parallel databases and a broad mix of leading data management and analytics platforms.We are looking for a Software Dev Engineer (DevOps) to design and build systems and services to take on increasingly complex data engineering challenges.What you ll do:
• You will design, build and support a modern, multi-tenant cloud-based enterprise data platform for both transactions and analytics and share your knowledge with your teammates, as well as the larger tech community.
• Being an open advocate for DevOps model.
• Administration and Supporting end to end environment.
• Performing routine maintenance activities, engage in automation activities, do root cause analysis and remediation.
• Design and implement tools/systems to increase availability, scalability, efficiency and automate operations tasks.
• Identifies potential areas where existing capabilities and processes require change and where new ones need to be developed - specifically to meet future business demands
• Build POC s to understand new tools, techniques, and process; documenting and demonstrating steps to adopt
• Build common tools to streamline and standardize development and deployment
• Participate in planning work and identify areas of improvement such as monitoring, and alerting

Who are you:
• Bachelors in Computer engineering, Computer science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
• 5 years experience on supporting production cloud workloads (including virtualisation, multi-tenant cloud infrastructures, storage systems and content delivery networks).
• AWS experience highly desired.
• familiarity of modern languages such as Python
• Excellent scripting and automation skills; automate all the things
• Advanced understanding of build, release, infrastructure as code (Terraform), Kubernetes and networking concepts
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form
• Experience testing, automating, and instrumenting your code
• Experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment, including basic understanding of large distributed and online systems
