Job Description

    About the opportunityDepartment DescriptionThe Global Documentation Management team is part of the Outbound Correspondence cross-functional team (OCT) and responsible for the production of documents to support the Fidelity business, as well as B2B reports and forms. We have 4 key functions:
    • Pre-processing and B2B reporting
    • Document Composition
    • Post Processing and Support
    • Form production and maintenance
    This role sits across all these functions and includes any new initiatives.Job OverviewFidelity is delivering a multi-million-pound investment programme in its UK Platform business over the next 3 years driven by the objective of placing the customer at the heart of the business and significantly improving the customer experience. As part of this investment programme Fidelity plans to transform the documentation that it sends to customers. To achieve this transformation a new Customer Documentation team is being established as a shared service and centre of expertise for the UK business. The new team will be supported by a major investment in a state-of-the-art new customer document composition system.The Technical Analyst is responsible for building the relevant documentation templates in Smart Communications composition tool and the end to end configuration and delivery. The analyst will need to understand the documentation process and ensure the relevant data streams align and drive the end output. The role will work closely with the operations, technical and business teams in ensuring the ongoing improvement of our documentations.Key Responsibilities
    • By virtue of having depth knowledge of the process/procedures/systems and related departments, the individual is able to act as a key contact to work of change agenda using client communication tool (Thunderhead)/Smart Communications
    • Individual understands, articulates and implements best practices related to their process/tasks
    • Review process issues and provide appropriate recommendation which leads to scalable and practical solutions that can be integrated with the current practices and regulations.
    • Assist in preparing processes & procedures
    • Coordinate and represent the department in various Fidelity wide projects and other departmental initiatives
    • Can perform and co-ordinate the entire gamut of UAT testing/Regressions/Health checks for RAS releases and system enhancements
    • Develop a complete understanding of all regulatory/risk/controls aspect of the department
    • Communicate effectively across all levels
    • Complete feasibility and build technical specifications for the templates
    • Creating sample XML files for interactive templates to run and preview letter against various conditionality s
    • Access full range of Thunderhead/Smart Communications Resources to build letter templates and packs within Thunderhead/Smart Communications in line with the business requirement
    • Use of test scripts for complete testing in line with the test strategy. The individual also needs to be involved in defect resolution using quality centre in SIT and UAT Testing.
    • Liaise with Thunderhead/Smart Communications and raise service requests with them
    • Generating various reports from Thunderhead/Smart Communications
    • Complete end to end document delivery in Thunderhead/Smart Communications
    • Builds and maintains relationships and communication channels with internal customers
    • Updating and Managing procedures and best practice documents for the Document Change team
    Experience and Qualifications Required
    • Ability to multi task effectively, plan, organize and prioritize work
    • Technical expertise knowledge of the Thunderhead/Smart Communications systems including Business Content Studio and experience of building templates
    • Experience of Template layouts and style sets
    • Understanding of the data requirements for document composition.
    • Industry knowledge experience of customer documentation in a major Investment Management company.
    • Proven ability to communicate and work with all levels within technology, operations and the business channels
    • Self-starter/ motivator - Dynamic can do approach with a strong desire to make things happen.
