Job Description

Job SummaryThe Health Sciences & Wellness (HS&W) Domain Analyst is responsible for delivering impactful consumer analysis and insight specializing in Health (Providers and Payors; with an emphasis on the US and UK markets), in accordance with the key sector priorities, including:

  • Developing market facing thought leadership, point of views and blogs
  • Work directly with the EY Global Health Sector Leader to create distinct point-of-views and support sector strategy
  • Working closely with market segments on delivering value to Health accounts
  • Creating distinctive insights to support development, packaging and commercialization of Health priority solutions
  • Supporting the creation of sector and subsector trends decks within the team
  • Contributing towards regional, service-line and sector strategy
  • Supporting business development, account planning and delivery
  • Mentoring, supporting and developing more junior members of the team
The role requires the ability to combine analytical skills with a strategic mindset and a real-world perspective driven by an understanding of both clients experiences and broader market drivers. This position also requires candidates to build an awareness and understanding of EY Knowledge s full suite of products and services which they can share with internal customers and stakeholders.Analysts work closely with the HS&W Knowledge Leader and Analyst Team Lead as well as the wider analyst and knowledge management team to support the Health-related products and Health leadership teams as well as other senior stakeholders by providing impactful research, analysis and insight to help EY differentiate itself in the marketplace. The Analyst will also work closely with knowledge specialists in other domains (e.g. in other sectors, service lines or geographies) to deliver on cross-cutting topics and initiatives.The domain analyst will be a Health sector expert with a strong understanding of value-based care, health policy, reimbursement and health technology and will help to ensure the quality and delivery of outputs by knowledge team members located throughout the world to support the specific domain s objectives.As a team leader within the GDS-HS&W team, the candidate will also be career counselor and people manager responsible for development, performance management, and recruitment. The individual will also have business development and activation responsibilities for content produced by the team.Key Requirements:
  • Possess a deep understanding of the Health sector, strong analytical skills and the ability to develop a considered point of view. Minimum 10-13 years of experience in strategy, business analysis, industry research, management consulting or business performance, advising organizations in the Health sector
  • A strong, detailed understanding of value-based care, health policy and reimbursement, particularly in the US (Medicare and Medicaid) and UK (NHS) markets
  • Thorough knowledge of ongoing innovations and digital transformation of the Providers and Payors sub-sector, including understanding of data, architecture and platforms
  • Comfortable advising senior stakeholders, driving business relationships, presenting to audiences and interfacing with stakeholders - both internal and external - at different levels of seniority
  • Willingness to build a network of internal contacts to help support domain and broader business objectives
  • Previous experience of working on sector databases such as Definitive, CapIQ, Thomson One, Open databases from WHO / World Bank and excellent understanding of the key sources for Health market data in general.
  • Collaborative and able to work well as part of a geographically dispersed multidisciplinary and multicultural project team
  • Capable of putting individual projects/initiatives into a big picture context and credible experience working in a fast-moving, client-centric environment
  • Proficient in English with well-structured oral and written communications skills; able to explain difficult concepts in a clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools
  • Ability to take ownership for delivering customized projects with a degree of autonomy; adept at leading several projects simultaneously
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good experience with large sets of data and visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Comfortable with public speaking and the ability to present complex topics to external stakeholders
  • Comfortable with occasional travel
