Job Description

  • As Engineering Manager at India Engineer Center, you will help build the platform and the embedded systems that make up the heart of the JCI controls product line as well as IOT devices. You will work on product designs that will be used to integrate in the Building Automation Systems on the current architecture as well as the IOT platform.
How you will do it
  • Communicate within the team to understand requirements and initiate proof of concept implementation.
  • Complies with established development guidelines and standards
  • Ensures usage of tools such as code reviews
  • Participates in product development meetings, design reviews and code reviews.
  • Provides input for creating time estimates and reviews project schedules Understands the whole embedded development process from inception to completion of a project
  • Makes recommendations for changes to software development guidelines and standards.
  • Develops an in-depth understanding of the development realm through interactions with other groups, communication with external experts, suppliers, and independent research.
  • Meets all requirements of an Embedded Software Developer and drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the electrical hardware design organization
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members. Share knowledge with team and demonstrate team spirit.
Additional Responsibilities
  • On-time completion of assigned project deliveries
  • Work with identified team/vendors to implement the designs
  • Participate in the POC to product development transition
  • Participate in Quality assurance, improvement activities and auditing.
  • Disciplined use of allocated budget to maintain viability and future cost of product development
  • Improve technical competencies and skill levels based on project requirements and inputs from Technical lead/Analyst.
What we look for
  • Minimum 12-18 years work experience in s/w development
  • Have strong analytical skills, problem solving abilities, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Jira as Agile tool for managing various Scrum team s sprint deliverables
  • Maintaining the Sprint Artifacts Velocity and burn down charts for the team
  • Updates agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs
  • Updates company project portfolio system for status, resource capacity planning, and metrics preparation
  • Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Daily standup, sprint grooming, sprint Planning, sprint review, sprint/feature demo, sprint retrospective meetings
  • Facilitates discussion and conflict resolution
  • Have very good understanding about Data structures and algorithm development.
  • Strong coding skills in C/C++, multithreading, Linux platform etc.
  • Good to have knowledge of C#.Net and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience in any of the protocols like MQTT, TCP/IP, BACnet/LON/ ZigBee experience
  • Should have experience designing and developing IoT Products with various cloud services.
  • Basic understanding of software analysis and design techniques
  • Proficient with Git-hub and PLM version control system.
  • Should be strong team player and excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with detail as well as with general assignments
  • A professional, results oriented individual with a high degree of self-motivation
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems
  • Having knowledge of Access Controls domain will be an added advantage.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team and independently.
