It may not be for every role, and, as part of the recruitment process, you ll have the chance to discuss smart working and how it might work for the job you are applying for.About this roleYoull have the following responsibilitiesGlobal ownership & support of assigned Procurement category or contracts, aligned to PM / SPM which entails:-1. Co-coordinating with multi-category projects into the appropriate Bid team to optimize third party supplier input.2. Agreed approach on buying in the category across multiple lines of business.3. Stakeholder engagement plan covering all users who spend in the category.4. Category strategy in place & agreed with stakeholders covering sourcing plans, category governance & risks.5. Knowledge of key suppliers in global supply base & the risks in the category.6. Pan-LoB spend management and relationship with main influencers of spend in the category7. Planning, Managing, and Delivering on Sourcing Projects in the relevant category areas, on the contracts owned by the Role-HolderOwnership & support of LoB specific requirements falling outside of any direct category management:1. Agreed approach on buying outside of or within the relevant categories and understanding the category plans.2. Stakeholder engagement plan for the requirements, covering other LoB users as appropriate and linking back to the relevant category.3. Procurement strategy in place & agreed with stakeholders covering sourcing plans, governance, in-life management & risks.4. Knowledge of LoB key suppliers in global supply base, category plans, the risks and benchmarks.5. LoB spend management and relationship with main influencers of spend in the LoB.6. Plan in place to address LoB tail of suppliers & adherence to approved supplier list.7. Ownership & support of LoB cost transformation plans and driving through cost reduction.8. Responsible for relationship with key stakeholders and suppliers linked to LoB, working back through category for category owned suppliers.Youll have the following skills & experienceShould have approximately 5 to 10 years of experience in Procurement & Contract Management is mustKnowledge of eSourcing/ eAuction and other modern Sourcing and Procurement technologies would be a plusStrong knowledge of MS Office, especially Outlook, Powerpoint and ExcelDemonstrable high-quality written and verbal communication, and stakeholder management skillsBenefitsAbout BTBT has a key role in British society, fostering change and leading technology innovation.
