What Youll DoYou ll shape and execute an innovative ESG reporting strategy to lift the firm s social responsibility reputation and increase visibility and support for ESG priorities.Bringing together your passion for ESG, your technical expertise, and a mix of analytical and creative skills, you will create clear, compelling, and authentic content about our social responsibility efforts that inspires and informs while building credibility with our stakeholders.In particular, you will lead our annual social responsibility report from a content strategy perspective, tailored to our most important stakeholders, balancing multiple audience needs and ensuring content aligns to standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and the World Economic Forum s Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics initiative. Beyond the report itself, develop collateral materials (e.g., presentations, talking points) to bring the report to life for a range of internal and external stakeholders.You will stay ahead of emerging trends to uncover opportunities to enhance reporting and broader ESG-related communications, including innovative content strategies and reporting standards. You will have to keep finger on the pulse of emerging trends, to identify new opportunities to build credibility through participation in external ratings, rankings and awards.You will help position McKinsey as a leader on ESG by preparing comprehensive responses to external ESG surveys, including but not limited to CDP and EcoVadis.You will also lead response to clients questions about our internal social responsibility activities and practices. Work with teams to reflect our social responsibility and ESG achievements in our broader value proposition as a firm.You will help build internal visibility and a shared vision for ESG priorities and impact while helping to align our ESG activities with stakeholder expectations and emerging ESG trends. You ll maintain a suite of key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to our material ESG topics and our public commitments. Additionally, you will anticipate ESG trends by analyzing stakeholder inquiries, engaging in external forums, and tracking real-time developments related to ESG growth opportunities.You will help deepen our shared understanding of diverse stakeholder expectations by managing our materiality assessment and building ongoing ESG stakeholder engagement opportunities.Finally, you will support ESG program and project-based efforts on an as needed basis (e.g. short-term initiatives and one-time projects).,
