Job Profile:In Consulting Financial Services Solutions team, you are required to work on diverse engagements for financial services clients. You will have the opportunity to work with leading Financial Institutions and advise them on core business issues and potential solutions from initial diagnosis, strategy formulation and analysis, through to implementation. Nature of projects may include:
  • Process optimization and transformation across the value chain front office, middle office and back office
  • Improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations and support functions (finance, HR, procurement, IT etc.)
  • Target operating model design
  • Implementing operating model transformation (systems, processes, controls, people etc.)
  • Technology enabled transformation
  • Project management on large scale transformations
  • Create / assist in creation of business bids / proposals
We are looking for people having experience in any one of the FS industry vertical Asset Management / Capital Market, Insurance & Banking Asset Management
  • Strong process knowledge of Asset Management functions viz. Portfolio Management, Portfolio Accounting, Trade Compliance, Custody and Clearing, Corporate Actions, Performance Management etc.
  • Good understanding of financial products, Middle Office/Back Office/Investment Banking processes and Operations
  • Prior experience of implementing an asset management tool / system
  • Exposure to US or UK Asset Management sector via project delivery / experience of working in the US/UK geography for an asset manager
  • Implementation experience in any of the following tools will be preferred- Aladdin, CRD, Broadridge suite of applications, Revport, SunTec, Xecelerate
  • Ability to form and express independent opinion on Asset Management sector developments
Insurance
  • Understanding of core Insurance Enterprise Functionalities Policy Administration, Claims Adjudication, Billing, Reinsurance, Rating etc,
  • Implementation experience around COTS products like Guidewire, Duck creek etc.,
  • Understanding key Data elements in Insurance Core Functionalities and applications
  • Requirements Engineering Skills in agile delivery models like SAFe
Banking
  • Understanding of core Retail or Corporate Banking products and their value chain from onboarding to servicing
  • Understanding of key banking regulation like Basel / Dodd Frank / AML / KYC / FATCA
  • Implementation experience on any of the banking systems covering lending and deposit products
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Work with leading FS organizations to advise them on projects involving operational transformation, Finance Transformation, change management, process re-engineering and customer experience
  • Capture As is process, document controls and system data flows. Perform data gap analysis
  • Create functional / technical specification documentation in coordination with the client Business and IT team.
  • Define future state processes, controls and RACI
  • You will work with the clients and act as an interface to business units analysing, defining and documenting business requirements
  • You will be responsible for leading work-streams on medium to large size projects and varied complexity.
  • You will be responsible for daily activities and work closely with the Engagement Manager / Director. Planning and organizing work packages, overseeing data gathering and analysis, driving insights and presenting results, owning client relationships and preparing and chairing client meetings and workshops, etc.
  • Expertise in writing Business Requirement Document covering Functional and Non-Functional specifications
  • Documentation of detailed requirements
  • Clarify, document and communicate the functional and non-functional requirements to the design and development team by using data, process or information modelling.
  • Experience in documentation with Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Alteryx, Tableau and other similar tools
  • Hands on experience with Data Analytics tools viz. Alteryx, RPA Tools (Blueprism, Automation Anywhere), Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, Qliksense, QlikView, OBIEE)
  • Practice development: Use your expertise, knowledge and experience to further develop and promote the core financial services propositions at KPMG. Taking a supporting / leading role in processes and initiatives that are key to scaling the business and new go-to market propositions.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:To succeed in this demanding role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  • Candidate should have expertise in of any one of the sectors - Banking, Insurance, Capital Market or Asset Management in the transformation or change management function for about 1 to 6 years.
  • Postgraduate or equivalent in Finance/Economics/Commerce or CFA with 1-6 years of relevant work experience preferably with a Big 4 or equivalent consulting company or transformation experience with a blue-chip Financial Institution / Fortune 100 company
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Financial sector, key processes, activities in Front Office, Middle Office and Back office with deep, hands on experience in at least one of these areas.
  • Understanding of trends and issues prevailing in the FS industry
Experience:
  • KGS Consulting Team is currently seeking experienced consultants at multiple levels (Analyst to Consultant) with relevant experience between 1-6 years. Relevant work experience will be considered based on the interview process.
