Job Description

The candidate need to not only excel in operating at a strategic level but also need to understand when to dive deep to keep the project on track. Specifically, As SDM one must set the bar on the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines. Along with that, the person need to clearly and concisely communicate, both verbally and in writing, with senior management on status, risks and required mitigations to maintain project commitments.SDMs are expected to support the team in making appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.Org management: Manage a 2 pizza team. Responsible for capabilitydevelopment of Core Trans teams to manage mission critical Tier-1 services. responsible formanaging Demand, Life cycle and Delivery of packages in Amazon s network. Global Delivery: Good experience in expanding teams- identifying and hiring right talent andbuilding capability to handle end to end projects having stringent time to market . Also setting upthe right operating model for teams for best execution and to work with multiple regionalstakeholders. Building Solutions: Relationship management with Business to build solutions following thebusiness and technical directions within the industry. SME for Transportation technology: Key Expertise in Transportation Domain with over 2.5+ yearsof experience. Enterprise Engineering: Around 10 years of experience in developing low latency, high throughputand scalable systems. Tech/Product Strategy: Involved in designing and development of all major architectural/functionalchanges in Core Trans and working with business to drive the product roadmap for key businessfunctions like Demand Injection and Life Cycle management of packages flowing though Amazon snetwork. Project Management: End to end Project management and delivery including risk management. People Management: Driving Hiring processes for Core Trans Delhi Organization. Set upperformance management processes and audits. Keeping the bar high with rotating and developingtalent. Hands-on: High Proficiency in Java. Setting the operating models in the teams to follow all SDLCpractices and build complete traceability.
