IXL Application Design Engineer

Job Description

• For the assigned project, verify safety related specific application data of Cityflo650 system signaling design deliverables at a principle and sub system level in accordance with the technical constraints, project specific inputs, architectural and operational requirements
Responsibilities
• Perform full verification of Cityflo650 CBTC application design data of assigned project in accordance with the standard rules defined.
• Test bench set up for both manual and auto testing.
• Analysing logs and updating documentation by preparing Test reports and records
• Identify and communicate to the verification Leader for any perceived shortcomings in the design deliverables which has potential to block verification or make it ineffective.
• Ensure the application and adherence to the reference processes
• Support system leader by delivering the verification reports for the assigned activities On-time with good quality.
• Manage technical aspects of System configuration/Application design work products with regards to the verification activity required by the project
• In accordance with the verification, raise non conformance for the anomalies identified in design during verification
• In accordance with the verification, Manage verification reports in the document configuration tools like Synergy and Change management.
• Liaise with the System Design Leader or Responsible Engineer for the agreement of the anomalies identified in the Application design data during verification.
• Support Project Safety Managers to release the Project safety case authorizing the design data for Dynamic testing/Revenue service by helping them to identify the restrictions for the anomalies identified during the design verification.
Skills & Competencies required .
• Technical knowledge in railway signaling (Priority can be given to the individuals with experience in the CBTC System design)
• Knowledge and understanding of Indian railway signaling principles.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Good communication
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated
• Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders of project and other colleagues
• Ability to perform multitasking
• Qualifications & Functional Knowledge Education
  • Graduated in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or Computer) / Computer Sciences
  Relevant experience required (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role)
  • Experience required 4 to 7++ years
  • Experience in verification and validation of interlocking software in railway signalling fields
  • Capable to learn the new tools and has some basic knowledge in programming ex:- C programming
  • Familiarizing in Configuration management and Requirement management tool
  Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role
  • Skill in Unix, Linux and Network & Communication will be required
  • Metro signalling, CBTC will be an added advantage
