Job Description

About the opportunityDepartment DescriptionThe Enterprise Performance team, a department within the Finance function, is responsible for financial planning and analysis at the total Fidelity International level and so their primary stakeholders are the Global Operating Committee and the FIL Limited Board as collective bodies. Enterprise Performance is responsible for delivering very high quality and timely regular management information that drives greater financial insight. It is also expected to produce ad hoc financial analysis that supports senior management decision making and to run and manage robust financial planning processes that provide an informed and valuable forward-looking view of Fidelity International s finances.Purpose of your roleThis role is responsible for the production and review of both recurring and ad-hoc group-wide management information that is presented to the FIL Board and the Global Operating Committee (GOC) these presentations are often made in person by the Group CFO and are intended to support effective decision making at GOC and Board level.The successful applicant will be privy to a large amount of confidential information, and should have the expectation that ad hoc analysis of any part of FIL s financial services business can be requested at very short notice. Consequently, there is the expectation that the successful application will be discreet and also able to respond to complex data requests promptly and to a high standard.This role is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level member of the finance team to gain a broad understanding of the whole financial services business and build networking among the business finance teams across geographies.Key Responsibilities

  • Production and review of the Financial Services monthly management reporting;
  • Production and review of data inputs into the monthly GOC KPI report, quarterly board and shareholder reports, the annual report and related financial presentations;
  • Dealing with ad hoc reporting requests from various stakeholders and based on instructions cascaded from senior leads
  • Producing insightful Finance materials for the Global Operating Committee (GOC);
  • Identifying and implementing improvements on a continual basis to the content of regular reporting and to the efficiency of its production including introducing automation where possible;
  • Providing input to the relevant Global Process Owners (GPO) to create efficiencies through cross-region process standardisation;
  • Provide support in the implementation of CFP Management Reporting solution rollout.
Experience and Qualifications RequiredTechnical
  • Qualified CA with up to 6 to 8 years of post-qualification experience;
  • Strong financial analysis skills including, knowledge of accounting principles and industry standard packages;
  • Shows high attention to detail, particularly when reviewing the works of others, and an appetite to dive into issues in depth as needed;
  • Proficient in knowledge of the Microsoft Office software packages; including Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Knowledge of Essbase, HFM, OBIEE, Tableau, Anaplan and JDE would be an advantage.
